I was helping out in my DS8's second grade class room, earlier this week and I was surprised by the number of kids who had no idea what their address was. One of the centers they were suppose to do was write a letter to the president, so I was to help them with the return address if they needed it. I was surprised that most of them couldn't even begin to tell me what it was, I thought I would be doing more helping with spelling, not telling them the whole address.
Both of my boys knew our address before they started kindergarten, this is something we worked on from about age 3 on, since we do travel a lot we always thought this and our phone number was something they needed to know.
