Does you dh wear his wedding ring all the time?

Yes he does, except when he works on the car. I wear mine always, except when I am in surgery.
I threatened him when we first go tmarried, that he either wore his, or I would take mine off and flirt with boys!!!

My DH wears his all the time. I take mine off at night because my hands swell. DH is a salesperson so for someone who is a mechanic or electrician I can totally understand why they wouldn't wear it all the time.

Dh and I will have been married for 13 years in May, up until 8 years ago he wore his wedding band 24/7 . In October of 1998 he cut off half his thumb and badly damged his index finger, when they took him into surgery to take care of his fingers the nurse handed me his wedding band and I have had it since. I don't always wear my band and anniversary ring, sometimes my hands will swell and sometimes I take it off to do something and forget about it for a week or more :rolleyes1

Dh wears his all the time. It looks like it has been through a war!(well, I guess it has been through one and a few conflicts!) It is scratched, dented and bent. He loves it! He takes it off and puts it in a safe place if required by what he is doing at work. When he is home he wears it 24/7.

I only wear mine when I leave the house. I take them off as soon as I walk in the door.

DH also had to have his cut off due to an accident. He broke two fingers and they sawed it right off his hand. He got it repaired and still wears it, although neither one of us sleeps in our rings. Too easy to lose them that way. The jeweler did a nice job of fixing it, and even made it a bit bigger since his finger is a little bigger since the breakage. You can see a tiny tiny line if you look at it really closely, but hey, it gives it character. I tell him these days if I see him take the ring off, I'll break his finger again. :rotfl:

Nope only on special occasions. He works construction so he destroyed his first wedding ring, we got him another and he hardly ever wears it.

I wear mine 24/7 also. To me it has become a part of me and I feel wierd without it. DW will go without hers occasionally but we both pretty much wear them all the time.

Hubby cut his off while on the job (at the time he was an ac mechanic for biiiiig ac units ,a fan shroud was supposed to keep him from touching the fan but it was the wrong size) soooo... now I call him Stumpy  and wear his band. He has offered to get a band Tattooed on his finger but I declined, with the metal pins he had running through his fingers and the contraption they made to put his fingers in traction to hold the pins , I think the poor man has had enough metal in and on his body to last a lifetime :rotfl:

I'm always confused by people that say you can lose your rings if you sleep in them:confused3 . How? Are they really loose, and you think they might fall off? If they are that loose, I'd be more worried they would fall off during the day, when I'm actually moving my hands around. IMO, I would be more likely to lose my ring if I took it off and put it back on every day- I'd have more chance of it disappearing.

We both always wear ours. He has never removed his and I only have at the end of each pregnancy when it was too tight to wear.

DH and I wear our rings all the time. DH never takes his off. I only take mine off to put on lotion or if I'm making hamburgers. Other than that, they're on 24/7.

My DH lost his rather expensive gold band about 3 weeks after our wedding. He was playing softball, and his friend the week before got hit in the hand and his ring bent and had to be cut off, so DH takes off his band and hides it is his gym bag and never saw it again. I was upset at the time, because he was afraid to tell me, so he waited until I noticed. I then bought him a "cheapy" for $75 and he still wears it 11 years later.

I am an ICU nurse, and my wedding set is marquise and sits up very high. I bought a band which has channel set diamond in it to wear to work. It has no sharp edges. I wear that most of the time. I wear my wedding set for good occasions, and on vacation.

He dang well better!;) Yes he does...he never takes it off unless he's playing basketball. Other than that, it's always on...in the shower, when he sleeps. He says it feels "funny" to not have it on!!

I don't wear my mine constantly though. My engagement ring snags on things when I'm doing laundry or whathaveyou...and I work with austistic kids and the "sparkle" really distracts some of them. :lmao: I do wear my rings whenever we go out, but around the house I usually don't...I take them off before bed too. I would hate to lose those things!!!

I wear mine all the time, DW has offered to buy me a new one as it is looking a bit worse for wear, but i am happy with the one i have.

My hubby is also an electrical engineer and when he worked in a plant he too wouldn't wear his wedding ring (actually jewellery of any kind was not allowed). Rings can help to contribute to getting hurt if you are around an electrical source.

Now that my hubby has a desk job he wears his ring all the time :)

My husband didn't wear his ring for the first 10 years, only for special occaisions. He worked with inmates and after a few fights decided it was a bad idea. They were also warned about disclosing to much personal info. As he got promoted he began wearing it more. Now he wears it every day since he spends more time doing paperwork. He takes it off to shower and at the fire house at times. We have been married for 17.5 years.

A few weeks ago DH was shaving and DD(4) was in teh bathroom watching him like always. She picked up the ring and asked what it was (also typical, I guess she expects a difference answer?:confused3 ) "That's my wedding ring. It means I love mommy. Be careful you don't lose it" DD answered "Yeah. If you lose it she won't believe you any more!" DH cut himself shaving LOL

I have not been able to wear my rings for a few years. I didn't like not wearing one. I bought a ring on ebay for $25 in Jan 2004. I keep thinking about getting my rings resized but just have not gotten around to it yet.

My brother wears his everyday. In the summer he takes it off and throws it in the pool and then dives for it. He did it once and had to spend 3 hours looking for it. My SIL was NOT amused!:rotfl:

dh does, I don't. I wear it if I go out, but I tend not to wear jewelry around the house. that may change when the kids are older (right now, I change so many diapers and constantly seem to be washing stuff/cleaning stuff).

This is exactly why I won't let DH wear his during the week. He, too is an HVAC engineer. I have seen pictures of what can happen when they wear rings (or any kind of jewerly) and it gets caught in the equipment:scared1: Not pretty, that's for sure. I wear his ring with mine, and give it back to him the minute we are together again and he doesn't have to go to work the next day. He hates having to hand it over, but I don't want to take the chances.

Mine wears his on a chain around his neck, due to the hazards of wearing it while working.

DH does, but I don't usually. My fingers swell terrible at night. Then I usually forget to put it on in the afternoon. Dh understands, as I tell him anyone who knows me knows I'm married. There is no question. You only have to know me a few minutes before I begin to talk about my family. DH uses the fact I rarely wear in order to not buy me jewelry. lol

I have an older gentleman friend. Who was in a bit of a panic last Sunday as he had "lost" his wedding band. He did find it. Apparently, it had gotten caught in the fitted bed sheet when he was changing them. He said he had not taken it off in 57 years!!! WOW, no wonder he felt, as he said, "naked".
