Does you dh wear his wedding ring all the time?

My Dh fell off the bow of a boat when we were first married and his ring got caught, it almost took his finger off. It was bad! So he only wears it when we go out.

My dh and i both wear ours 24/7 for almost 22 yrs, Infact his broke a month ago and he wanted to go right to the jewelers to get a new one , and we did.

12 years and DH wears it 24/7. He has taken it off on occasion while doing work that may harm it of him. :) I however have not worn mine since our second child was born 2 years ago. I haven't lost enough weight! I know I can get it resized but of course I want to loose the weight!!! I think I may have to just swallow my pride and get it resized - I do miss wearing it.

My husband doesn't wear his...he says it makes it too hard to pick up chicks :lmao: The fact he's put on a few pounds and it doesn't fit anymore is just coincidence ;)

DH and I have been married for 4 years and he has NEVER taken it off (yet). I, on the other hand, have not worn my rings since pregnancy. My fingers swell by the fifth month and unfortunately they haven't gone down since:sad1: DS is over a year and I'm still hoping that losing the last 15lbs of pregnancy weight will help me "fit" into my rings again!:yay:

DH only takes his off when he lifts at the gym (because when he didn't it got pretty banged up). I only take mine off for the gym, pottery class, and when I'm making something with ground beef (yuck!). We both keep them on at night and in the shower.

Mine wears his all the time. He takes it off at night, but the minute he gets out of bed that's the first thing he reaches for. I love him for that! He says that the ring is a symbol of his love and affection for me that is unending, just like the ring is unending. I love my man!!

My husband only wears his for special occasions. He's not a jewelry person, he doesn't even wear a watch. It'll be 25 years in April!

My husband has 2 rings, one we got married with, then picked one out less fancy and more his style. He doesn't wear either of them. I'm not big on jewelry most of the time, so I don't wear my rings all the time either. I guess it's just personal choice. But, I do understand why many men do not wear a ring...many work with heavy equipment, tools etc. In case of accidents with many types of industrial machinery or tools, a ring would really be dangerous.

I married my bride 15.5 years ago, never taken off my ring for more than a few minutes at a time.

Here's a post from a DH ;) I never wear one. As a fireman, we rarely wear any jewelry for obvious and not so obvious reasons (had a friend lose a finger when his ring got caught on a hose coupling). So for me, it's just a habit from work. But IMO if I didn't NEED to not wear it I certainly would wear it. :cool2:

We both wear our rings everyday. We do take them off at night. I store mine in my jewelry box and he puts his on his nightstand with his watch. We both put them back on again when we get dressed in the morning. We've been married almost 19 years!

My dh wears his on his right hand. He lost weight and it will stay on his right hand, but on his left hand it slides right off. He also doesn't wear it when he is skiing (he lost it once) or mountain biking.

Mine wears his. He only takes it off when he plays basketball.

No he doesn't

DH's ring was his grandfathers and it is quite beautiful... we have 2 wild kids who love to wrestle and DH also works in computers so he types and fiddles with wires all day and a ring could knock something out of the way.

My rings are my grandmothers... beautiful 100 year old diamonds. I am a full time hands on dirt playing mom and I dont wear my rings either... they are just appropriate for my job.

Our marrige is more than just rings, the rings are the symbol for the outside world not for us... what everyone else thinks is very unimportant

we have 15 years under our belts without rings

Yes, my DH wears his all of the time. He hasn't taken it off since we got married.:thumbsup2

I am a DH and I wear mine all the time except to bed, working out, or doing anything constructive(gardening, working with greasy things, and hunting). I am a programmer so it doesn't get in the way of my job so I wear it everywhere. My dad is a farmer and he never wears his, too afraid of getting it caught in something.

I did break my finger at my DD6 birthday party and before my finger swelled up I took the ring off. I am glad I did because I wasn't able to wear it for 2 months from the swelling of the joint. I could tell my DW was not liking the fact I was not wearing it. She kept asking about it. All that is done so I am back to wearing it. I really missed it, I like looking at it sometimes during the day. There are a couple dings and scratches on it, but that just reminds me of everything DW and I have been threw. Kids, buying the house, and every vacation is in those scratches.

Just a little informal poll I'm taking here.

My dh only wears his wedding ring for special ocassions, like something you get dressed up for. He says his cue is if I put on pantyhose, its a dress-up ocassion:rotfl2:

Well, I wear my rings all the time. I do take them off to shower, etc., although many women never remove them. I'm afraid of them slipping off while my hands are in water. But its just my habit to put my rings on in the morning, has been ever since we got married--23 years!

However, dh never wore his on a daily basis. He's an electrical engineer, says that gold is a great conductor of electricity and a great way to get your *** fried! Well, I suspect he now can't get them on, anyways. Dh has put on a few pounds, well.....so have I. I had my engagement ring sized, but can't enlarge the wedding band due to the style (it still fits, fortunately). Dh's is a matching style, so it can't be enlarged, either.

I was thinking of buying him a new wedding band for our 25th anniversary, in about 2 years (gotta sell a lot of stuff on Ebay for that!). But if he never wears it anyways...............don't know if its a size thing or just that guys don't wear wedding bands everyday?

So, how about the rest of you? Do your hubbys wear their wedding bands every day?

I'm a hubby, and I wear my wedding ring at all times. However, I don't work with machinery, don't do surgery, and don't work with electricity. If I did any of those, I would probably not wear a wedding ring at all times.

If your hubby is still a hands-on EE, I'd skip it. If he's an office EE, think about it.
