Does you dh wear his wedding ring all the time?

My DH wears his just about all the time. He's learned not to wear it when he's cutting firewood finally, he had to have it cut off THREE times. They told him they wouldn't be able to fix it again.

I wear mine all day but when I get home I take it off. DH is an Mechanic for BMW and never wear it because of his job. He doesn' t wear it at home/weekends either. We have been married 10 years (April).

DH doesn't wear his every day - he only wears his for specially occasions. I wear mine every day except for the winter since my hands are so dry it actually hurts to wear the rings.

;) Should I admit that neither of us wear our rings?

DH rarely wore it to start with...he has no excuse other than he doesn't like jewelry. He doesn't even wear a watch. So, it is what it is.

I on the other hand, took them off during my 1st pregnacy when it started get snug since I didn't want them cut off and well....ummm....they don't fit. I don't want to get them re-sized (to think I had them sized down when we got them) until I'm 100% sure my weight isn't going to change again (as I somehow think I'm going to lose this extra "baby weight" that I've been carrying around for almost 13 years). One of these years I will get back to wearing them again.

I'm thinking if your DH doesn't wear his ring now, only for special occassions even if you get him a new one, he's not going to wear that one either.

My husband doesn't wear his...he says it makes it too hard to pick up chicks :lmao: The fact he's put on a few pounds and it doesn't fit anymore is just coincidence ;)

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: You hubby has it wrong -- if he puts the ring on somehow it will pick up chicks. I always laugh because at DH's old work, the girls would say "hello" and be considerate but once they found out he was married, he said they would just chat up a storm with him like they were pals while he was baffled as to why they were just blabbering on (he gets enough blabbering from me, so he has learned the artform of just tuning them out as need be. :lmao: :lmao: ).

He doesn't wear it at night when he goes to bed or when he takes a shower & he does take it off when he does yard work now since he lost it but found it with a metal detector, thank goodness!

He got diamonds so he'd wear it.

DH wears his most of the time. Not when he is working out, doing lawn work or other work around the house, showering, sleeping--that kind of thing. But just out and about running errands, at work, etc, he wears it.

I, on the other hand, never wear mine. The center stone in my engagement ring scratches the kids and my wedding band needs some repairs (it is diamond channel set, and the diamonds are slipping). I think one of the prongs on my engagement ring is also loose, so that needs to be checked.

DH wears his all the time. There is a rare occasion that he'll take it off for a few hours if his hands are bothering him, but that's it. I never take mine off either...just a habit. I don't wear an engagement ring, just the band. I'm glad he wears it, he's hot and doesn't need MORE attention, lol.
:goodvibes

nope. married 20plus years tho :)

we both had them resized one Christmas as we had not worn them for about 3 years. I started wearing mine again everyday but he never could get used to his. H ecan't wear it for some of th eelectrical work he does. . .
I actually wish he did but since he doesn't. . .

I wear it for him! yup, my band, my engagement ring and then his band, really pretty! lots of people comment on how nice "my" rings are!

alas, they are all 3 to big on me again and I will soon have to find a new solution.

My husband wore his for a couple of months after we were married 10 years ago, then started to break out in a rash all over his finger. He's tried to wear in several times since, but every time, it causes a rash. Oh well. I wear mine all the time.

All the time! When he was in a band it was getting bent up (soft metal) from the drumming and loading gear, so he suggested we look for another one for him to wear when he played. Got a nice titanium band off of ebay. ;)

DH does not wear his because of his job..he is a firefighter..1. it is a heat conductor, and 2. he witnessed a guy getting off the fire truck one day and his ring got caught on a piece of metal and it ripped his finger right off...:faint: so we both agreed it was OK for him to not wear it..Not to mention he has gained over 100 lbs since we got married so it doesn't fit anymore!!!:goodvibes

My DH wears his all the time. :) He told me when looking at rings that he would never wear it. But he has never taken it off.

We will be married 12 years Sunday.

Yes. A few years ago he lost quite a bit of weight & lost it only to find it a few weeks later! Then, he lost it AGAIN!!...and never found it. I bought him a new one (the exact same one actually) as soon as we were sure it was not going to turn up.

My husband doesn't wear his very often. He is a mechanic for the State Highway Dept. and they have a policy of not wearing rings at work (this came about after one guy almost lost his finger due to ring getting caught while working) so it just depends on the situation if he puts it on or not. The ring isn't what makes a marriage....

Mine does, but mostly because it is too much work to get it over his knuckle. :rotfl:

I'm the one who doesn't always wear mine. I really don't like to wear rings because they get in the way.

Nope, neither one of us wear them all of the time.
