Does you dh wear his wedding ring all the time?

Neither one of us does. We will be married 15 years on the 19th and I think we each wore them for about a week.

Neither my DH or I where ours either, His was orginally sized too large, and since he works with food he has to take it off each day anyway..so we never bothered to spend the money to resize it, there are other uses for money. And mine, Jewelry makes my skin crawl, anything at all touching my skin makes me sick to my stomach. So I only wear it on special occasions.

Dh told me before we got married that he probably wouldn't wear his all the time, he works at a lumber mill. I didn't think much about it. After we got married, he NEVER took it off for the longest time. One time he did for like a minute, and I looked at his finger, it was like the skin was coming off under the ring because when he would shower or wash his hands he would never move the ring and the moisture stayed between the skin and the ring. I told him he should at least take it off to dry his hands. I still don't think he ever takes it off for anything, I have never NOT seen it on his hand. Very sweet!

We are also both firefighters, when I am doing something with the department, I only wear my wedding band, not engagement ring because it sticks up too far. But I always have at least my band on.

Mine does and he has no choice in the matter!:rotfl2: But, he does complain that when he works out that it gets beaten up, so if your DH is using his hands I could see why he would not want to.

Yep, DH wears his all the time, even playing ball. I think the bat has dented it into his finger at this point!

DH is also an electrical engineer, OP. He wears his, except when he has to go on a job site (it's a hazard, same way a necktie, long hair, etc would be). He creates/modifies automation equipment for large manufacturing facilities, so he often has his hands in moving parts.

I've found at the fire station I can leave them both on, but have to turn the engagement ring to face my palm. My husband doesn't wear his on his hand - he has it on a chain around his neck, and only takes that off at night. He works full time as a firefighter, and part time as a plumber / electrician. His odds of losing a finger or burning himself are too good - safer around his neck under his clothes.

My DH wears his except when he's performing surgery (afraid to tear his gloves) or scuba diving (attractive to fish).

My Dh always wears his, although if he thought it wouldnt hurt my feelings he would leave it at home and just break it out for those 'special occasions'.

While I know that it is a peice of jewlery and a band of gold does not make or break a relationship, it just means alot to me for him to wear it. as silly as it may sound.

I never take mine off, first i could not bear to part with it for even a moment. and well now, its just gotten harder to take off because of some extra pounds, I am getting myself back in step to better health and look forward to taking it off for a moment. how funny is that...:rotfl:

DH and I both wear our rings all the time. My original band was wide and I hated it as my skin was always "wrinkly" under the ring. I bought a plain gold in the same thickness as my solitare engagement ring and I haven't taken it off since. Actually, I can't get the wedding ring off anymore, so I don't even try.
However, neither of our fathers ever had wedding bands. My father never wore any type of jewelry at all and my mother was fine with that.

DH wears his all the time. Even though it is not exactly a circle anymore.
He wears it. I wear mine all the time too, even though my fingers swell I asked DH 2 years ago if he would buy me a white gold band 2 sizes bigger than my yellow gold band, so when my fingers swell I still have a wedding band on. He did and he also bought me a three stone diamond ring to go with it. He's the greatest!!

Yes, my Dh has only ever taken his wedding ring off once or twice since we've been married because of a computer or something computer related he was working on. He almost lost it so he never took it off after that. It is I who takes it off more often. It gets caught on things (the engagement ring)and it scratched my DD a few times. I wear it when I go out.

DH never takes his off. I take mine off when I get home, and put it on before I leave the house.

I don't like to cook, or clean with it on, and I'm afraid to scratch DS when playing with him, etc.

My dh wears his all the time. He lost it one time when he took it off doing plumbing or his Mom. Since then he has not taken it off. As a matter of fact he would have to really work to get it off.

DH doesn't wear his to work. His original thin gold band bent too easily and he was afraid he'd damage it permanently, so we bought him a $20 ring that's thicker and a lot sturdier, but he still only wears it when he's not at work.

My husband forgets here and there, and after 10 years, I realize it's nothing and don't take it seriously. I wear mine out of the house, but as I am not a big jewelry person, I take my rings off as soon as I walk in the door! Especially when its summer here in FL, hot and humid, and my fingers swell...then I really can't wait to take the off!

DH is on his 2nd one. As long as James Avery is in business, he'll be happy! He's a contractor and wearing gloves all day wore his first, deeply patterned ring smooth, so we had to get him a 2nd one. In the winter, it used to slip off in his glove, so we got him a 1/2 size smaller narrow band that he wears in front of his wedding band to keep it on.
