Hi,
I'm wondering if there is any special activities/dining events at WDW for Easter Sunday.
thanks
Kerri

There was an Easter brunch at Epcot which I believe was discontinued a couple of years ago.

when i was there YEARS ago (i was 5) they had a special easter parade and a sky writer wrote happy easter in the sky :) lol

I'm surprised they haven't announced any Easter egg hunt or something???
Thanks
Kerri

Almost all of the deluxe resorts have some sort of Easter egg hunt for their guests. I don't know about the other resorts, since I haven't stayed there during Easter. That's all I remember, there really isn't all that much going on, no special meals in the restaurants.....

Another "special" thing Disney World does for Easter is raise prices. :)

When I stayed at Pop earlier this year, (which, granted, was closer to St. Patrick's Day than Easter) the food court had rice crispy treats decorated to look like eggs and bunnies, but that's it. (And honestly, in a value, that's all I'd expect to see done for Easter.)
Sorry I can't be of any more help, but I haven't ever gone to Disney over Easter. However, I can't imagine that they would do nearly as much for it as Christmas and Halloween.

Ok....an Egg hunt would be great....I'll be at the Contemporary on Easter.

Yes....they do do it right during the big holidays.....I was hoping for something....feeling guilty we won't be home for Easter morning.....I'll have to send a basket or something.

They may have these at the resorts, but not the parks. Not sure about Downtown Disney. I believe somewhere there is an appearance by Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny, which I recall because I had no idea there was a Mrs. Easter Bunny. (or a Mr. Easter Bunny if the Easter Bunny itself happens to be female, if anyone knows.)

Hold off on the Easter Basket!
One year we stayed at WL for Easter and another year we stayed at the BC. Both hotels had a candy scramble. Both times Minnie and Mickey were there to kick it off. The Contemporary does it also. They break it up into different age groups and the amount of candy is CRAZY! We didn't know what to expect the first year we were there at Easter so we made our kids their normal Easter baskets. The second time we knew what to expect so we put in alot less candy.
The kids love it.
In case you are interested the Contemporary also offers 2 Catholic masses and 1 Prostestant service Easter morning.
I know they did an Easter Egg hunt at Epcot for the little ones in the morning.
Hope this helps!!
This year we are going for Easter too staying at the Boardwalk

Magic Kingdom has a short parade featuring Mr. and Mrs. Bunny, as well as photo ops.

Epcot has Easter Egg Hunt and Egg Relay Races as well as photo op for Mr. and Mrs. Bunny at American Pavillion.

For the Egg Hunt and Races at Epcot, you need to be there early to sign the kids up as they only allow for so many spaces.

Thanks

This sounds good....So be there at park opening....any idea what time the hunt is???
We have a 7:45pm flight so to get back to resort and stuff....would have to leave park by 3.

I was there this year for Easter, and as far as I know, there were photo ops with Mr. and Mrs. Bunny in MK, religious services at the Contemporary, and egg hunts at most of the hotels. There was also a parade on Sunday and some other stuff, but none of it is well-publicized, even if you're staying there.

Mr. and Mrs. Bunny were available for the whole week prior to Easter, as well.

I would plan to keep the day open, but I don't think exact details for this Easter will be released this soon. It seems to change from year to year, and there isn't too much which is really strange since its one of their busiest times of the year.

:dog:Last year at Epcot the Easter Egg Hunt was every 20 minutes from 10 am to 5:20 pm (except for when they had the egg relays.)

The Egg Relays were at various times. There were 7 time slots from 10:40 to 4:40.

The Egg Hunt is for the younger children while the Egg Relays are for the older kids. They recommend the relay for children 6 to 12.

But yes, be there early to sign up :daisy:

Do they still do the Easter parade at MK? I thought that stopped a few years back. They still have Mr and Mrs Easter Bunny though

I know it's packed full of people. And WDW raises their prices around that time.

This is what I was thinking. A friend of ours works in GR at AK and she said that Easter is one of the BUSIEST days of the year at WDW, especially at MK. Good luck - I wouldn't want to go then.
