Does using your phone as your magic band work okay?

I’m a local AP holder and use magic mobile on my phone. I set it so I just press the top of my phone to the reader and it scans immediately. No need to open the wallet.

From what I saw if you just have you pass on your device it works well……

for each additional person on your device it works less well….
I watched a mother of what seemed like 16 try to get her entire extended family into the park…. It was a total night mere…. she could not match the pass with the person and held the line up for a while….

for the 20 or so dollars the cheap bands are please get everyone in your party a gift…..

Phone works just fine...never been a fan of the magicband and always just kept one in a backpack in case I lost my phone or something but works just fine. Park entry, G+, ILLs. All works fine.

there were four of us but each have our own iPhone and had no issues at all. We loved it and not having to wear a magic band. The only thing it didn’t seem to work quickly for was room access. We ended up just getting room keys for that. We still used our phones for everything in the park though.

As other said. If you’re trying to scroll through for multiple people bands/room keys would probably be easier though.

Yah good point...I don't stay on site really anymore with all the price hikes and opt to stay off site to subsidize the other micro charges (G+, ILL, etc) but the last time we stayed on site and got locked out of our room because the phones just didnt work they had to bring us separate room keys for that.
