Does using a Prepaid Visa to pay on Reservation require special action?

I just sat on hold for 45 minutes to make a payment on our reservation. I have 2 Prepaid Visa cards. One was a gift at Christmas. The other was a verizon Visa card for switching to FIOS. Both were declined when the agent entered them. I then followed directions on the cards to check balances and they both show as active and have the balances I told her. Am I missing something? Anyone else have trouble using these kinds of cards? I've never used a Prepaid Visa before.

We had received several $100 prepaid Visa cards as a thank you. I tried to have them applied over the phone, but like you, they wouldn't go through. I finally asked if they could process $75 and it went through. I don't recall exactly why it wouldn't go through at the full amount. So I went to Walgreens (closest store that sold Disney gift cards that could be loaded with any amount) and used my remaining prepaid Visa cards to buy Disney gift cards. Full amounts went through with no problem.

I'm glad to hear I'm not alone. I did call a 2nd time and explained what happened. Between calls I had logged into each card online to confirm balances and that they were active. She tried both cards again and both were declined. We also tried one for a lesser amount with no luck.

I also thought of the idea to take them to buy Disney gift cards. I think I'll head over to Target this weekend and do just that! I'm glad to hear this worked for you. I hope they work for me also. :)

I've tried to use Prepaid Visa's and never had any luck.
However, Prepaid Amex works like a champ.
No idea why the difference
