Does this work as an earlier opening contingency plan?

OK. Current situation is that we have a CRT reservation at 8:05am on 12/29. MK opens at 9 that day, but it's an EMH day so, at this point, we can get in at 8. Our plan is to just get there at RD and go straight to breakfast.

However, IF they adjust the opening times, as they've done in years past so that MK officially opens at 8, that will mean we can actually get in at 7 and will have an hour before our reservation. During that time we were thinking of doing the Tea Cups, Pooh, and Peter Pan's Flight. Is that realistic considering that this is a 10/10 crowd day?

We are first timers and have zero frame of reference for distance or what a 10/10 crowd level day is, etc.

If they do the 7 am EMH, Peter Pan and Winnie are open during EMH, but teacups are not. You should have no problem getting those two done (do PP first, though). You'll probably have time for something else, but you need to check the list of rides open.

Ah, thanks for the information! I didn't even think of one of them not being open during EMH.

Well, that leads me to another question: I'd read somewhere else that Alice meets outside the Tea Cups and that she DOES meet during EMH. Is that correct? Meeting her is really the main priority there (over the ride, I mean).

The teacups (Mad Tea Party) are sometimes open for AM EMH,
just not all of the time.

From our experience with 7 AM EMH during Christmas, if you can walk at a reasonable pace, you can easily do PP (you should start there), Pooh, and the teacups (if they're open) in less than an hour.

On December 28 last year with a 7 AM opening we did Space Mountain, Buzz, and UTS, saw some of the fairytale princesses (before A&E), and rode PP and were ready to enter Liberty Square when they opened that at 8 AM.

Unless things are dramatically different this year, you may be pleasantly surprised how uncrowded the park is for the first 2-3 hours.
