Pop Century-standard room.
value season
3 adults 1 infant
with 40% off code
1 night $75.83?

I was coming out with about $63 and this was with the $10 extra for the third adult? TIA

Correct that at values there is an additional $10 nightly charge for each adult after the first two.
At moderates, the extra charge for additional adults is $15. At deluxes, the nightly additional adult fee is $25.
Perhaps your difference is a nightly rate increase for the weekend or a holiday?

Are you booking room only? Then you nightly rates will be broken out.

What the pp means by "broken out" is that if you go to disneyworld.com and check the price of a room only reservation, the cost for the room is shown for each day of your trip. It appears a standard room at Pop in value season is $82 minus 40%, plus $10 for the extra adult, and then tax - maybe 13% or so.

I come up with $66.90 approximately (because I don't know what the tax % is exactly).

I'm not sure where the $75.83 is coming from. Are you sure it's not a Preferred room?

I asked for a standard room and that is what he repeated back to me? Maybe I will call tomorrow and double check that it is right.

Definitely check - that's way too high. We are paying $55 and change without the extra adult.

The rack rate for Pop Century for value season on a weekday night is $82.00 per night. The tax rate at Pop Century is 12.5% (the other values the rate is 13%).

$82.00 - 40% discount = $49.20.
$49.20 + 12.5% tax = $55.35
$55.35 plus the $10 fee= $65.35

(Disclaimer: I'm not sure if the tax rate is on the base room cost of $49.20 or if the tax rate gets applied after the $10 charge is put in for the 3rd adult).

Now as a comparison the preferred room rate during a weekday night during value season if $97.00 per night.

$97.00 - 40% discount = $58.20
$58.20 x 12.5% tax = $65.48
$65.48 + 10 extra person charge= $75.48

To me it sounds as though they have booked you in a preferred room.

Are you going in Sept.? Have you checked the thread about the Travelocity rates at moderates for comparison? You might be able to upgrade for about the same cost as the value.

I looked at my ressie on WDW.com and it says a standard room. The only thin I can think of is he didnt apply the 40% code but something else. I am going to call. Thank you all for the help.
