Does this sound reasonable?

We are going to have 6 full days at Disney World, not including arrival and departure days. First I was thinking that we would get 6 day PHP and spend all of our time in the parks. I then relized that that might be to much for my children (thanks to these boards). So now I am thinking more on the line of 5 day Phs for me and Dh and a 4 Day Ph for my DD. One of the days we will leave the children with a Fair Godmother for 4 to 6 hours while Dh and I do commando in the parks for adult rides. And that night take dd and ds to MVMCP. So they will get 5 days at the parks and some down time also. Does this seem like a good plan? Dh and I are go getters so doing the parks and mvmcp won't tire use.

TIA

Definitely sounds like a good plan. My husband and I went in January (without any kids) and had 5 full days in the parks. We got tired midway through and spent half the day relaxing in the hotel before going to the parks. I think you're wise to plan in a break. And, if everyone still feels like moving around, just hop over to DTD and maybe check out DisneyQuest.

That sounds like a very good plan to me. I used to be a "commando" park goer until my DH and DD "assimilated" me! Now I really enjoy not only the parks, but some down time at the resort as well. That also gives you and DH a fun day for yourselves!

Thanks, We have one day planned just for hopping to resorts and DTD!! Should be relaxing. Will 4 to 6 hours be enough time to ride all the adult rides like RNR, ToT, Space Mountain, Rides like that? We are intentionally missing those rides while the kids are with us. I know we can baby swap, but those rides aren't any fun riding by ourselves KWIM? I don't know, Atleast we have plenty of time to plan!!

Thanks for the help

It will depend on how crowded it is how many thrill rides you can get in. Guessing on your kids ages you'll probably also skip Test Track, Mission: Space, Dinosaur and although it's not a "thrill" ride - It's Tough to Be a Bug. So I'd start with the AK first thing in the morning since the open earlier, move on to MK then MGM, and then Epcot if there's time. I'd do that order because I personally don't care about Test Track and haven't done Mission Space yet - but predict it will make me sick to my stomach! I personally love Dinosaur and ITTBAB so don't miss them!!

Have you considered spending a day or part of a day at a water park? You and your family might enjoy it!

You don't need a pass for MVMCP. It's a separately ticketed event.

Got it. I knew that there was a separate ticket, but I thought that each ticket holder had to have park admission as well, like EE nights.

Don't rule out all the thrill rides with your 4yo. My 4yo went on everything he was tall enough for (not SP, RnR, Mission to Space, and the spinny ride in AK) and liked everything enough to repeat except for Dinosaur. He wasn't traumatized, but just didn't want to go on it a second time.

I think this is correct- that you need to have a regular park admission as well as the ticket for MVMCP.

Also I second the advice about the 4 year old. My DD was a park commando at 4. She couldn't get enough of it.
