DH had an interview last week to be Loss Prevention at a new Lowes that is opening up. Interview went great. He talked to the gal that interviewed him on Friday, and she said background check was fun, drug test was fine, she was just waiting on something else to come back. He talked to her again today, and she said she would be calling his references today, and then sending out an offer letter. So does he have the job? They never talked specifics regarding salary. She knows what his range is, but that is as far as it went. We just don't know what to think at this point!!!

I would think that the "offer letter" would go into the salary, vacation time, hours, etc.

If he decides to accept their offer, I would think then he would have the job.

Good luck! :)

Yes, bigger companies like to make it a written agreement.

Good Luck!!

Yep, our company sends out offer letters and they include the salary and benefits (including vacation).

Okay, so DH talked to the hiring lady again yesterday. They officially talked money. It was about $5000 less than we expected, but he is still going to take it, we will just have to tighten our bootstraps for a little while.

So, as soon as DH gets the offer letter and sends it back, he will officially be an employee at Lowes!!!

(I did ask him if he has to switch his NASCAR alligence. He has been a Tony Stewart fan since working at Home Depot. I wondered if Lowes would make him switch his favorite driver to Jimmy Johnson!)

That's great news!
Perhaps the benefits will make up for the lower salary.

The benefits are okay. Luckily, we don't have to worry about what they offer for health insurance, because I, fortunately, have excellent insurance with my job.

Thats great!!! Congratulations on his new job!
