Does this seem odd to anyone else?

I received the Peter Pan email that has been going around. I called Disney to find out how much the discount was. I told the CM that I had an existing reservation but wanted to find out if this was a better deal.

She put me on hold and then came back (without asking even my dates, resort, etc.) and told me that whatever deal I had was better than this. I asked her, "Even without knowing my dates, my AAA is better than this?" "Yes", she says. How is that possible?

I just called back to find out. Just beginning to think I've lost my mind...

I'm a noob, but it does sound weird to me. Maybe you should just call in and say you want to book a new package. If the CM finds one, then tell them you actually have an existing one that you want to update with exactly what they just found for you so the CM can't tell you what you are asking for doesn't exist?

That definitely sounds frustrating. Every once in a while I talk to a CM on the reservation line that doesn't necessarily care about giving good customer service or know what they are doing. Did you enter your reservation number into the automated system prior to talking to the CM? I guess it's possible that your information could have been delivered to her like that but it seems like she would and should have verified your info with you first.

If it was me, I'd call back and specifically ask for the price with the Peter Pan discount. I once asked the CM to give me 2 or 3 price scenarios based on different pin codes or promotions. She did it without ever being rude about it with me, even if I did drive her insane!

I called back, didn't mention my other reservation and the CM was really nice and worked through the numbers. Apparently it was for free dining which I wasn't interested in since I would lose my AAA rate on the room. I really appreciated her looking though and at least telling me what the code was for. Hope someone else has better luck!

I did not realize there is a AAA rate. We joined AAA this past summer when we went to disney just for the towing etc. in case of a break down. Does anyone know how much the discount is??:confused3

I believe it is 15%. I use my AAA for so much...I get a discount on my TMobile, movie tickets, Disney park tickets etc. Check out their website and it will tell you the discounts. Just the discount on my cell phone more than pays for my AAA membership for the entire year.

I actually just called AAA to get a quote. I am looking to travel 5/6/11-5/14/11. I was told that the discount at the moderate resorts is 15%. I inquired about WL and was told that the discount at WL would be 10%
