Does this make sense?

I've made most of my dinner reservations between the hours of 7:30 and 8:30pm. My theory behind it is, rather than rush back to the hotel rooms early, we could try to enjoy and maximize the day and eat later considering the parks close around 9-10pm and if we did eat early, it would only be about an hour to get to a park after dinner anyway. There's always downtown Disney, which we enjoyed walking around at night last year and also the extra magic evening hours.
Just for reference my party consists of: myself(29y/o male), my cousin(20y/o female), my friend(36y/o female) and her 4y/o daughter.
What do ya think? Any opinions/suggestions?
Thanks

I always have late dinners at disney too. You may want to get a snack around 5, especially for the 4 year old. There are plenty of snacks you can get in the parks to hold you over until you have your sit down meal.

If you're staying at a deluxe hotel, consider room-service for breakfast. It's not a whole lot more expensive, and is very convenient. You can fill out the card the night before and leave it on the door. They'll deliver at the time you request. This is especially great with multiple adults, as while one is showering, the others can have breakfast.

We like to eat late, as well. As for the little one, give her a snack around 5:30 so she can last til dinner.

Makes a lot of sense for us to eat later. If you figure that you'll be at the parks in the day, then maybe a nice break (swim, nap...), and everyone feels refreshed for dinner. My kids like to snack in between too.

Thanks.....glad to see my logic is on the right track...lol
So, after dinner, once the parks are closed and if there's still some energy, what do some of you do? We've usually just gone to Downtown just to walk around and hang out. I haven't gone to any of the bars/clubs in Pleasure Island because it would just have been me. Any other places to just go hang out and walk around or go for a late night snack?

There is also the Boardwalk; they have street performers and games and all sorts of things after the parks close. It's fun to walk at night and soak it in. If you're near the MK there is also the water parade on the lagoon around 9:00.

I think it depends on time change from where you are from and if they are use to staying up late.

Time change for us is only one hour but if you are from Calf I bet the kids could stay up very late because of there being such a big time change.

It didn't work for us because we needed to be back in the hotel by around 8:00pm so that we could get the kids to bed by 8:30 or so because even though they were tired they still took about a 1/2 to 1 hour to fall asleep from being so happy to be at WDW. Mine are still little 5 and 2 and if they stayed up late like that every night they would end up being so unhappy and tired it just isn't worth it for us because being that little they aren't going to recall everything anyway.
We are going in Oct and we may try one night for dinner and seeing fireworks but thats most likely going to be it for us until our 2 year turns 6 ot 7.

We tried this route one year and it didn't work for us. We always had to wait about an extra 1/2 hour for our table and DS fell asleep on two different occassions before his meal ever arrived. princess: pirate: :earboy2:

These are the reservations I have made at this point for the week of Aug.27(arriving Orlando 9:43am)-Sept.3(departing Orlando 5:43pm).
I tried to make these reservations keeping in mind some of the night events, such as Wishes and Illuminations. None of us have seen Fantasmic yet and hoping to get to that.
So, what do you guys think of this list?
