So, my DH, Me, DD(16) and DD(13) are going to WDW Oct 12-19.
We are staying at Pops Century and have no plans to do any character meals
or major sit down dinners...Just go to the parks. We will have breakfast
in our room and meals on the go...with snacks too.

OK...So, look this over and let me know what you think...
I'm just not feeling great about this schedule so I would love ALL
input/suggestions!!! We are somewhat limited to certain days as Fantasmic
is not going every night we are there and MK, of course, has MNSSHP other nights we are there. We want to get to all of the evening shows at each of the parks.

Sunday Oct 12,
Arrive at Orlando Airport around 3:00pm
go to (Which park?) after settling in
(I was thinking maybe DS to watch 9:00pm Fantasmic?)

Monday Oct 13
EMH at Animal Kingdom
Back to hotel
MK for MNSSHP

Tuesday Oct 14
EMH at Epcot (Will we be too tired to go to EMH since we will be up late the night before?)
Afternoon/evening MK (No evening parade available. Only fireworks)

Wednesday Oct 15
DHS all day
catch 9:00 Fantasmic (unless we already saw it Sunday night)

Thursday Oct 16
EMH at MK
Afternoon/evening Epcot (watch Illuminations)

Friday Oct 17
(DDs 14th B-day)
...OPEN....
(We will go to the park she wants to go to)

Saturday Oct 18
(My B-day)
EMH at DS
Afternoon/evening MK (watch evening parade and Fireworks)

Sunday Oct 19
Head back to airport early

We'll be overlapping your trip a little bit. We'll be at Illuminations on 10/16 as well and I am so excited about it.

As for most of your itinerary - can't comment. We don't do EMH, however, I think that you're pushing yourselves a little too much by going to MNSSHP and staying up late and then going the next morning for EMH. I'm exhausted thinking about that.

Happy Birthday to you and DD! What a wonderful way to celebrate.

The late night party and early EMH sound tough, but I always have energy at WDW that I don't normally have so maybe it would be possible.
I have always regretted trying to go to a park on arrival day. It wears us out. I now just relax and swim or DD. Or I would just go to DHS for the fireworks - what a great way to start a trip!

We always go to a park on arrival day (don't arrive till around 1:00 pm) but it's never a rushed thing. We basically just go to stroll around and watch the fireworks. If we pass by a ride with no line, we'll do it, but we have nothing that we must do on our first day.

As for the late party then EMH, that might be tough, just depends on how energetic your crowd is. If you do make the EMH that day you may be too tired to do much else that evening.

OK...Here's the new schedule. Although I didn't change the getting up early after MNSSHP, I did put in some "rest" time later that day...

How does this look?

I think that works better with the afternoon rest period. Other than that it looks fine to me. Have a great trip!

Overall, your schedule looks very doable. Your kids are older, so you don't have to plan around nap schedules, etc. Plus you've got breaks built into your days.

The only thing I would do is head over to the UG's website to check out the crowd calender and see which parks are recommended each day. Since you don't have any ADR's planned, if you want to switch around any of your days, you will have more flexibility.

Hope you and your DD both have great birthdays! :goodvibes

Thanks everyone for your input....

It seemed so much easier to plan last time we were there in 2001.
And as it turned out we were there 2 months after 9/11 and the place
was EMPTY!!! We really did have the place to ourselves. A lof of people
had cancelled their trips. I've been warning our family that it will NOT be like that again!!!

So anyone else wish to add their words of wisdom? Approve or disapprove my schedule? I'd love to hear it!!!
