My boys picked the Garden Grill for their character meal because they loved the idea of it turning while they eat. I heard from a friend who was there over the holidays that it doesn't rotate anymore? Is this true?

It was rotating when we went last January  Not sure about right noe but we have an ADR in 2 weeks and I hope it's working then :)

Yes, the GG rotates, about 50 miles per hour

Seriously, it is a very very slow rotate and you can view the Listen to the Land attraction below.

1) Yes it rotates.
. . . very slowly
. . . no noticeable motion
. . . about 1/3 of rotation you see part of boat ride
2) Warning.
3) After a few drinks, it rotates faster.

It is actually, as most revolving restaurants, one rotation per hour.

Yes and as mentioned several times before it is very slow. We ate very slowly, relaxed and took our time and made about 1 1/3 revolutions.

The characters that we had a chance to meet were...

- Mickey (safari mickey? idk)
- Chip N Dale
- Pluto

OK food for the most part. Definitely worth doing at least once IMO.

I can assure it you was rotating last sunday night as that is where we had dinner. The food was very good, not gourmet but hot and plentiful, awesome maple butter for the rolls, salad, and the entree was fish (mahi mahi that night) , beef and turkey with mashed potatos, a rice dish under the fish and veggies. Dessert was a fruit cobbler. The kids meal was not well received by my 4 year old great nephew - baked chicken drumstick, sweet potato fries and broccoli I think, he could have eaten from the main meal also but that wasn't to his liking, however, the awesome CM that was serving us noticed he wasn't eating and asked if he wanted chicken nuggets and regular fries which he devoured, seems that Disney has tried offering the healthier kids meal but keep the other nuggets and fries as a back up plan. The kids dessert was "Mickey Mousse" with oreo ears, it was pretty good although the cobbler was better. Characters were Farmer Mickey, Chip, Dale and Pluto, they came to our table 2 times during the hour meal. I know that Garden Grill doesn't always get great reviews but it has been very good the 2 times we have done in the past year.

Love the Garden Grill!!

Especially when you get to the point where you see the farmhouse...

our waitress told us that one time a little boy asked her what the dog on the porch ate... she told him the scraps from the restaurant... a short while later the boy scraped his plate over the edge down to the dog... :lmao::lmao:

The food was really good... we loved the salad and they brought us about 3 bowls...

and the character interaction is the BEST we have had !!
