Does the Blue Bayou open if Pirates is closed for refurb?

Today I made reservations for the Blue Bayou on Feb 22nd and 23rd ... but I've also heard that the Pirates ride is scheduled for closure in this time period.

Would the restaurant be open if the ride is closed?

Since the entrance is separate from the PotC entrance, my guess would be that it is still open.

We ate there once while PotC was getting refurbed, and while the restaurant was open, there were nets blocking the view of the ride. I wouldn't eat there again under those circumstances, it totally ruined the atmosphere.

What's Blue Bayou? I never heard of this restaurant. Is it new? Good?

Blue Bayou is in Disneyland, therefore I am going to move this thread to the Disneyland Board where more people can comment.

We tried to make a PS when we went in 06, they were doing the BIG adding Jack, Davy, etc refurb and the ride was closed. So was the restaurant. I have eaten there when the ride was down but it was only down for a small issue and came back up later. I wouldn't eat there if the ride was closed though, much of the magic comes from the ride being right there.

Are the refurbs still going in march? I agree I wouldnt do it if its closed it will lose its touch
