I was thinking that it did, and SWORE I saw pictures of it somewhere, and I know lots of people have been buying tubes to use at Stormalong Bay... but it's not listed on Disney info...

Am I crazy? If there isn't, what do people use the tubes for?

There is a lazy river at SAB.....I've traveled it many times....aahhh I wish I was back there right now.

Yep! A little one though, but still nice. Very deep in places too for some reason.

Yes, but it is mine! However, if you make a small sacrifice of a "Jack Daniels Lemonade", I may turn my back when you use it.

We spent hours in the lazy river on our last trip. You may rent inner tubes to float around on from a nearby shop during daytime hours.

You can bring your own, however it must be transparent or they will not let you use it in the pool.

Enjoy!

I would not describe it as a "lazy river".

It is an area of the pool which flows around an island, that has a very swift current and yes the water is 8 feet deep in this area.

A CM told my DH that the lazy river is so deep because when SAB first opened, that area housed live fish (and was blocked so you couldn't swim in it.)

8 ft 6 in to be exact -- yes very deep waters there

have a great time we loved SAB

Disney should have more 8 ft deep areas of their pools. Of course we need to cater to children, but adults have needs too dont we?? I hate the fact that the deepest sections of most pools at Disney are 5ft ...

I agree, that's why I liked the quiet pool at the Poly, it has a deep end.

Thank you! I see why Disney doesn't say it's a lazy river, since it's smaller than what people think of as a lazy river.

I already picked up a few transparant tubes on clearance for it, since i knew they charged you to rent them.

Yes, we bought 2 noodles for $4 each at the pool side gift shop. When our week was over I found two little girls sitting by the pool to give them to. A few days before that I saw a guy trying to sell his in the lobby to people who were checking in.

It's the pool or some might say, mini water park, shared by the Yacht and Beach Club Resorts.

Anyone know how much the rental fee is for the transparent tubes? Or where I could find them for sale this late in the season? We'll be there in March, and I can't wait!

Kudos to you for sharing your noodles with those little girls :goodvibes and how tacky of that guy to try and sell his in the lobby :sad2: . Apparently he has never heard of "pay it forward" or "random acts of kindness". Talk about your bad karma!

Stormalong Bay needs to come with a warning!!! Parents! Your kids will not want to come out of the pool! I just returned from a week's stay at Yacht Club and I spent every day at this fabulous pool! All of the children cried when their parents told them it was time to get out of the pool and go to the parks. It became a running joke with us, waiting for the tears to start. Very funny. :rotfl: :rotfl: These children were at Disneyworld, and they wanted to stay in the pool! (well, so did I, come to think of it) The entire pool has sand on the bottom, and a great slide, terrific theming, and lots of shady spots.
