Does soda stain suede?

Somewere I got the idea that a suede futon matress looked "So" cool. Well, tonnight I was playing fetch with the cat and his tail took out a can of soda, all over my just cleaned cover. Well it soaked through and got the matress soaked in one spot. Is it gonna stain? Soda doesnt go with the pea stain.

I'd say probably. My MIL has a leather couch that was, when she bought it, quite lovely. But it's had soda spilled on it and that hasn't come out so now the sofa looks..less lovely.

FUDGE!!! it was the only side that looked good. I flipped the matress and this side has lines from the bars so it looks striped. IM mad

I think pretty much everything stains suede. That's why they sell stain guard when you buy certain kinds of furniture!

A futon... that you bought???

I'm sure it isn't real suede. Microfiber suede is washable. Keep rinsing and blotting the area until the blotting cloth is clean. It should be fine when it dries.

i bought the futon from shopko. I know its not real suede. Its dry but I havent looked yet for a stain... (pauses to show aparment) Ok i fogive the cat.... No stain

Everything goes sippy bottles now, just like when I had the kids here. LOL. so far the cat managed to knock over two cans of soda today
