I've tried all the drugstore brands: Jergens, Loreal, Nivea etc and they seem to turn my skin orange. I hate to spend the money for expensive brands if they all are the same - any recommendations?
Oh yes...price matters. St. Tropez is hands down my favorite self tanner. It does NOT make you orange at all. I've only used the mouse and absolutely love it.
Slightly different experience here - I have used Jergens for a few years and find it the most natural looking, but I use the medium about every 3rd day. I also have the pricier Bare Escentuals body bronzer self-tan with the application brush that I only use if I am going out that night and want COLOR on my legs (my arms are pretty tan from walking, daily activity). I like that it corrects easily if I spot a "error" before I go out. It can read orange if too much is applied. Just my feedback - I do think it varies from person to person.
I use Faux Tan by Bare Escentuals and the Dr. Gross Glow pads for my face. I love love love both of these products! They're a little costly but are well worth the money. Dr. Gross you can find on Sephora's website. Faux Tan is available on QVC. I get the economy size with the applicator brush.
