Does price matter with self tanners?

I've tried all the drugstore brands: Jergens, Loreal, Nivea etc and they seem to turn my skin orange. I hate to spend the money for expensive brands if they all are the same - any recommendations?

Oh yes...price matters. St. Tropez is hands down my favorite self tanner. It does NOT make you orange at all. :cool1: I've only used the mouse and absolutely love it.

Slightly different experience here - I have used Jergens for a few years and find it the most natural looking, but I use the medium about every 3rd day. I also have the pricier Bare Escentuals body bronzer self-tan with the application brush that I only use if I am going out that night and want COLOR on my legs (my arms are pretty tan from walking, daily activity). I like that it corrects easily if I spot a "error" before I go out. It can read orange if too much is applied. Just my feedback :mic: - I do think it varies from person to person. :confused3

I use Faux Tan by Bare Escentuals and the Dr. Gross Glow pads for my face. I love love love both of these products! They're a little costly but are well worth the money. Dr. Gross you can find on Sephora's website. Faux Tan is available on QVC. I get the economy size with the applicator brush.
