Does Jet Blue often change flight times?

....or is it just my particular flights? We are normal SW people, but due to higher SW prices, we are looking to book Jet Blue for the first time. I have been checking our flights each day and notice that the flight times often change. Is this normal for Jet Blue or is it just my flights? I don't mind an hour here and there, but what worries me is there is only one direct flight each way so I'm pretty much stuck with it and I don't want it to change drastically because I can't change dates and there are no other direct flight options. Thanks for any info!

Jet Blue is the one airline where I haven't experienced significant flight changes. For the flights I have been on they have tweaked the times by a few minutes but nothing ever more than 10-15 minutes. This is why I usually choose Jet Blue because they don't seem to change times for our airport or destinations.

If they do change your time and it no longer fits your schedule, they will often let you move to another flight and waive the fee. This has happened to me several times. There are some rules like if the time changes under 2 hours, you can change to another flight or another day. If the change is over 2 hours you can get a full refund. We have done both. I find their reps to be extremely helpful and pleasant. I wish they would change my times. I booked a later flight becuase the prices were high for the flight I wanted, and now they are cheaper and I can't afford the change fee for 6, so I welcome a change!!

Ok thanks. I'm just one that likes to book and know that I'm done and ready to go. If the time change is too significant, that would mean possible other changes needing to be made. I love the thought of booking Jet Blue, but I do have to say that for the last 14+ trips to WDW, SW has never once changed our flight times....but their fares are simply too high now and I'm both excited and nervous to switch airlines! Anyway, I'll probably end up booking Jet Blue and keeping my fingers crossed! Thanks for the info!

We've been using Jet Blue for 4 years and almost every trip has had at least one flight time changed. Mostly it's a small change of maybe 30-60 mins. This last change was 90 mins and they put us on a flight that was just too early for us so we just called & asked for a later time that better suited us. They were more than happy to make the change to the later flight and did not charge us any fees.

They always send us an e-mail notifying us of the change. On the e-mail, there is an option to approve the changes. If you don't like the change, don't click the button. Just call them and they will work with you.

Flying with Jet Blue is worth the possibility of a flight time change. We always look at all airline's prices but haven't booked with anyone but Jet Blue since we started flying with them.

Up until this year we haven't experienced much more than a change of a couple of minutes. We are booked for October and our flight home changed by about an hour a month or so ago and just today I got an email that our flight down has moved 90 minutes later, which I'm really bummed about. Getting nervous that this isn't the end of the changes since we still have a few months to go.:scared1:

Wish I had read this thread before booking on Jet Blue. I chose them because their times best fit our schedule. If I knew they changed times frequently I would have chosen another airline. We are limited on flight times due to a prior commitment the morning we are flying out, there is no way we can make an earlier flight - we booked the last flight of the day.

If the flight times change and we cannot make the new flight will we get a refund or will they allow us to fly out of a different airport?

Here's hoping they do not change times.

I have been flying with JetBlue for the last 5 years about twice a year. Today was the first time they ever changed a flight time for me. They called instead of emailing me. My flight out of BDL to MCO was moved up a half hour and my flight home was moved up 25 minutes. Not a significant change and actually works out better for us so I am not complaining.

Well the flights that I've been monitoring are actually changing from morning to evening (yikes!). Now today they actually added another nonstop flight each way but the cost is still a little high so I'm waiting a bit since the prices seem to change quite a lot (for my dates anyway).

We have experienced flight changes on most flights with Jet Blue but they are never significant. Last year my sister had booked a connecting flight with Jet Blue. It was a lot cheaper than any of the other flights including the non stop she wanted. They changed her layover from about 1 hour to 2 1/2 hours. She called Jet Blue and they moved her to the non stop which cost 3 times more than she paid for her flight no questions asked. She just told the agent she really did not want such a long layover with a 3 year old. We have always foudn them flexible.
