Does it bother you to eat by yourself?

At work, I have several coworkers that really hate it if they can't find anyone to have lunch with them. There's one that literally pouts if she can't find someone to share lunchtime with her. I don't mind eating by myself. Sometimes I welcome the solitary.

I don't mind eating alone. It's actually quite peaceful.

Right now I am eating lunch at my desk so I can DIS. I love it. I work full time and have a 19 month old daughter so eating lunch by myself is a luxury.

I would just eat at my desk rather than go out alone. Sometimes I just take a walk.

I used to be like that in my younger years, but now at the old age of 3*, I LOVE to eat alone! I will even go to nice restaurants and love every minute, since I'm not having to worry about force feeding an overly active 2yo!

At work no, it wouldn't bother me. It doesn't bother me in a food court type setting either. However, I have never and probably will never go into a sit down restaurant by myself

I don't mind eating alone, but I don't like doing it in public. Does that make sense? I wouldn't mind doing it at my desk, but I'd hate to go to a restaurant and eat alone.

I always work through my lunch, but before, I would have a full hour and I would go to a nice quiet restaurant and take a book. I really liked it. Of course, I sometimes go to the movies alone too. I don't have to share popcorn, can sit anywhere I want, and don't have to SHHHH! anyone who tries to talk to me during the movie.

I actually prefer it. I worked at the same company for 15 years and NEVER liked having a lunch partner, and my best friend in the world was my boss. She and I got along because we felt the same way.

I eat by myself every day at lunch, unless a group of us goes out. Everyone eats by themself pretty much, because we're all supposed to go at different times. We don't really have a lunch room/break room per se either. We have a kitchen, but no one eats in there.

I actually like eating by myself at lunch. I lock myself in a conference room and read the paper.

I would never go to a sit down restaurant by myself though.

I prefer to eat alone at work. I always sit at a table outside the cafeteria and read a book while I eat. I love it that way. Very relaxing.

When I travel, I'm almost always alone, so I eat by myself. Sometimes, if I just want to eat fast, I'll grab something to go and eat it in my hotel room. But, I sometimes go out to restaurants. When I do that, I usually bring something to read, just so I don't have to stare at strangers while I eat. Although that can be fun, too!

I eat alone a lot. My DH travels a lot, so I am always home alone. I go solo to WDW and eat alone, I used to travel for business and ate alone. When I was in the office, I often ate at my desk.
