Does Ft. Wilderness ever save any spots.....

for people who just drive in. Say I am in Florida and I decide to stay at FT.Wilderness. A last minute thing. Do they have walk in rates, so to speak? Does this question make sense?
 
Funny you should mention this, last week we planned to leave a day early for our weekend trip, we called and the reservation office said nothing was available, so we gambled and left with no reservations for the first night, they did have a site for us and we were able to stay in the same site for our trip, although we did have to check in again the next day.

don't rely on the central reservation number, drive up and see if they can get you a site,
