Does Ft. Wilderness decorate for Christmas?/

If so, do they do it right after Thanksgiving?? I was reading some other boards and there was a lot of discussion about how beautiful Wilderness Lodge is. Does the hayride become Christmas Carolers?? How festive that would be...hoofbeats on the ground, jingle bells, lots of people singing badly off key...doesn't get much better than that!!

Yes they do decorate for Christmas but I can't really say when as we don't get there until just before Christmas. The best part though is not Disney's ddecorations but those of the guests at their sites. Some of them are really awesome.

We usually get there the first week of December and the decorations are up then.
Bring all the lights and decorations you want because some people go all out with their displays.
Also on the hay-ride they provided song books of christmas carols and flashlights.
The Christmas tree near Pioneer Hall is decorated with rope, boots, cow skulls, etc.

We were there this past Thanksgiving and if I remember correctly, most of there decorations were up by the Sunday after T-Day. There was a tree in front of the Pioneer Hall area and one inside Trail's End Buffeteria. Also lights and garland at each bus stop.

I agree with lisapooh, the decorations that the guests bring are great, many people make a big display in there campsite.

When we left many people had already decorated there site for the 4th of July

I decorate the week of Thnaksgiving and then again when we come back in December as well! It really doesn't matter when you decide to drag out the lights and stuff because by Thanksgiving day all of Walt Disney World is decked out for the Holidays!

We stayed at FW last thanksgiving in a "home" w/ a golf cart and had a great time!

They started putting up decorations thursday nite/ friday morning and were done by friday night!

We saw the christmas water parade friday night from a pontoon boat ( and the fireworks), and we are now planning on going back thanksgiving 2002.

I have finally talked the rest of my family into camping ( well it might not be tent camping , but it will be something) and so we are now looking for the best deal!
