Does FP Limit Your Time?

When I booked my Fast Passes for our Sept vacation my concern has been that we'll be rushed - or limited on time due to an upcoming "reservation" in another part of the park.... Anyone found this to be true? At least for some of the parks?

Like in AK, it seems like a rushed day... We are to be at Everest b/t 9-10... Then check into Kilimanjaro Safari an hour later in Africa? Worried we won't get to see Asia fully?

We'll be there in Sept....

You sound like me before I had an actual hands on with fp+.

If you have a EE fp for 9-10 then Safari fp for 10-11. You essential have two hours between them.

We also space out our fast passes so that we stay in the same area or move in a certain path and don't waste time back tracking.

I felt rushed when we used FP+ over Memorial Weekend 2014.

But part of that was my own fault because I wasn't sure how it worked and my teens wanted to hit all the "big" rides so I was booking things one after the other in the afternoon because they weren't getting to the parks until noon and we were hurrying around.

It also seemed like we were waiting more instead of riding more with it. But I'm not sure how to resolve that yet. Maybe leave more time between FP's - although some of the issues we had I won't have on my solo trip.

For example - we had Space Mountain FP at 11:45am, teens arrived in the park at 12:30pm so then we had to hurry to Space mountain.

But then our FP for BTMRR started at 12:45pm and by the time we got off Space Mountain we had to hurry to BTMRR to be sure to make it on time except then we got there too early and everything else in the area like Splash or POTC had long waits so we would sit down and wait for our FP to open up.

It was a bit frustrating.

If you are planning on going to check out the Jungle Trek on your way from Asia to Africa, you may want to leave more time between FP's.

That is what I think I'll be doing when I go again so I won't have back tracking.

If you aren't going to do the Maharaja Jungle Trek, then you should have enough time to explore some of Asia while on your way to Africa.

I didn't feel rushed at all last year, but I was able to space out my fastpass+ picks throughout the day, and then I tried to start at one side of the park and work my way around. Now that everyone has fastpass+, I hope I won't have any trouble when booking mine this year and I can space them out and get the times that I would like.

I made a touring plan first and then scheduled my FP+ times for when those particular attractions were scheduled. Worked like a charm.

I do the same- I plan my days out and then schedule my FP to fit in. It worked great last year and I've done the same for this year's trip
