Does EVERYTHING in your life. . .

. . . make you think DISNEY???? Noticing that things my children (DD2 and DS6), they put it in Disney terms!!!! Watching MYTHBUSTERS the other night and they were making a "dummy". DS comes running in the kitchen telling me that they are trying to make "TESTTRACK"!!! Before Christmas we were at the mall and they have a train on a track in the air just below the ceiling. DH tells DS to look at the train. WHISTLE blowing and EVERYTHING!!! He is looking EVERYWHERE!!! Then asks DH where? DH points to the ceiling. DS tells him, "THat's not a train, that's a MONORAIL!!!!" With DD, Princess Barbie does not own a castle!!! ALL castles belong to Cinderella (and you MUST spin when you say the ROYAL name)!!! All the countless movies that relatives bought them for CHristmas, cannot even start to hold a candle to the PLANNING VIDEO (yes I said VIDEO as in VHS!!!!) From Many years back!!! We have lived in our house for 8 years (I hate to say that it was decorated then too) and the other day DD walks by 3 plates in the kitchen that have been there since we bought the place and casually says, "hey look at Mickey Mouse!!" DH and I get up to see what she is talking about, and sure enough, we they decorated the kitchen the plates are arranged on the wall and make a hidden mickey!!! DGranddad thinks we are all a little crazy anyway because of the Disney obession, but he thinks that DD takes the cheese!!!!!

Just trying to see if maybe we need to check out the nearest shrink or go to a Disney Aholics meeting. Got any suggestions?

That is really funny!! I think you are perfectly normal, at least here on the board. I pretty much can not sleep at night when my trips get close, because all I think about is PS, and which park on which day.

We have two girls, 8 & 10...we find Hidden Mickey's everywhere. We were going thru a Christmas light display and there was a wreath with red Holly berries on it...well, not to us...we all shouted out, Hey...look at the Hidden Mickey's and we took a pic of it. We're also always quoting from Disney movies. So, don't feel bad, there are other out there just like you

I am roaring with laughter because this is my family to a tee!

My 7 year old son discovers "Hidden Mickeys" everywhere we go and, I swear, every single thing we do can somehow be related back to Disney. My 3 year old son builds the "Tower of Terror" with Legos, we go shopping and think of Downtown Disney, golf balls look like "Epcot" all mountains are either "Space" "Splash" or "Big Thunder" and oh, yes, all castles are Cinderella's. We drove through a small town with a "Main Street" and the whole family breaks into song "we're walking right down the middle of Main Street U.S.A.!" and if someone mentions Hoop Dee Do a song breaks out as well, complete with handclapping.

Everyone thinks we are nuts, and maybe we are, but if lovin' Disney is wrong... I don't wanna be right!

Has your 7 year old son been hanging out with ours and our 4 year old daughter? The Hidden Mickeys thing has been a fascination since we came back from our trip in May '05 and got even worse after our trip in September '05 (surprised the kids! ). Our son came home and insisted he found like 571 Hidden Mickeys while away in Disney...Between the two kids, they must have found at least 150 more since getting back! I am amazed at where they think Mickey is hiding...Other people who overhear them in public look at us and wonder what in the world?!?!

Now, could the fact that DH watches the WDW planning DVD's and listens to LIVE 365/WDW Theme Park Music on the PC any clue as to why the kids do what they do? (Oh, and I am always in the planning stage for the next trip to see Mickey!!!) Do ya' think?!?!?

If there is something wrong with you, then there are alot of people out here that have the same problem!!! What a great group to be a part of!!! I am constantly hearing my DGDs tell me about hidden mickeys that they have seen. Wet spots on the driveway are my favorite ones!!! there is something about our driveway that, after it rains, there is always a hidden mickey!!! Our house is full of mickey things that are near and dear to our hearts. My teenage DD was clearing out her room, (a major job for any teen!!) and was putting all her stuffed animals away..However, when it came to the Mickeys and Minnies and all the others,,,she couldn't bear to put them in a "dark box"!! they are on the shelf in the closet when her friends come, but otherwise are on her bed!!! Never too much Disney!! Going back in August to get more!!!

My kids look for Hidden Mickeys just about everyday, too.

But they had no chance of 'normal', considering the genes they got from me (not speaking for my wife - oh no, NOT going THERE)...
