We are taking a cruise out of Port Canaveral. When we get back we wanted to do a few days in Disney. Does DME pick up at Port Canaveral?

Thanks:)

Nope, it runs between MCO and WDW only. You can easily rent a car at the port, and then return it at WDW. Where you return it will depend on what company you use. Alamo has a counter at the Dolphin but no place in Port Caneveral. We are renting with Budget in August. They have a shuttle in PC and then an office in one of the hotels in DTD.
Or you can book a towncar pickup, or even the DCL bus may be able to take you back to WDW.

DME does not pick up at the Port. You will have to schedule the DCL back to the airport or find a car service to take your group back. You can schedule DCL from airport to the port round trip and than take DME when you are returned to the airport. Of course the DCL cruise line prices are high $70.00 per person. If you have a family of 5, it will cost you $345.00 to get to the port and return to the airport. A car service will get you from the airport to the port and than back to Disney for around $250.00. That would be in an SUV or Van for any group of 4 or better. Towncars run the same price but probably don't have the room for your luggage.

Thanks for the replies.

We will be cruising with Carnival. They also charge you $70.00 per person. We will probaly rent a car or get a limo. Thanks again

Carnival is now charging $70.00 round trip per person. That really is outrageous. Start looking at car service for transportation to the port. The cruise lines think they got you locked in and aare upping their rates.

Yes, the rates are nuts. We are using DCL transport in September because there are only 4 of us, and DS, being 2, is free. But in Feb, we have 7 people and it is cheaper to get a van from FL Tours there and back. ALOT cheaper. If you have more than 3 people, town car is DEFINITELY the way to go. :)

CAR SERVICE, please, which includes all forms of transportation, Sedans, Vans and SUVs, out of Orlando International Airport. Town cars can't usually handle the luggage that is taken to the port.

LoL Sorry Edd!! You think I would know better, since we are taking a van! :rotfl:
