Does Disney offer Free Dining in the summer like the first of June?

just curious when free dining is offered.

I've seen it offered early in the year and in the fall. I would be surprised if it were offered in June, when WDW becomes a VERY popular destination as schools end for the year.

We were lucky enough to get FD at DW in June in 2011. They had a deal that was the last of May and about two days in June. As long as we checked in by June 2nd we had FD our whole trip! . They offered it as a deal super early that year! I think I booked it in September of 2010. Boy those were the days. My whole family went and stayed at Coronado Springs. That trip makes me smile thinking about it!

It is very rare, considering they almost never do it during their busy seasons (summer is included in that busy season category). THIS year, their summer season starts officially on May 31st. I know, in the past, that their regular season has ended in the first week of June (they are more likely to offer deals in their regular or value seasons), but this year it ends in May.

We got in on a PIN code several years ago with free dinning and went the first week of June- but I believe we arrived on one of the last days that we could in order to take advantage of it.

Lately there has always been free dinning times in the winter and spring (black out dates over holidays and busy seasons) and again in the fall- August thru October. There are usually a lot of fd dates through out the year, you just need to go during a value or regular season in order to take part.

You can see what was offered in the past, when they were announced, what dates they covered and the deadline for booking. You'll see that Free Dining has never been offered to the general public in the month of June.

This is the one we did from that chart. It is rare, but you just never know with Disney. I do now appreciate the discounts that Disney World offers. I can always find something or rent points, but we are planning a trip to DL and boy they just don't give ANYTHING!!!!

We got free dining on this promotion too. We checked in on June 2nd and had it for 10 nights Which worked out great since DD and DS each took a friend...so free food for all!

Yep 2011 was the first and only time I have seen free dining that went through to the first couple days of June. 2012 it was a not so good room only discount and I don't even remember if it extended into June or not since we skipped this year. I would not hold out for next year either but that is just me.
