Does Disney actually CHECK your flights?

We will be flying in before our Disney Cruise, and will be staying at Disney World Thanksgiving day....however, we want to spend the day before our cruise at the Hyatt at MCO, so we can get to the port earlier (Disney bus picks up earlier at airport than the resorts)

Anyway, we want to use the Magic Express to get back to the airport, even though we wont be flying out until a week later. If we have fictitious flight info for the return, can they actually check the flight manifest to see if we have a flight?

We'd check out and leave our luggage at WDW until after 1:00, so we'd be responsible for our own luggage getting to MCO.

We will attach our real flight return info to our 2nd DVC reservation, because we are making two Disney World reservations, one for before the cruise, and one for after the cruise.

So main question is.....does WDW have the capability to check your flight information when they issue Magic Express tickets? I know they can if you check your bags in before departure, but we wouldn't be checking any baggage.

My sister got "stuck" when the hurricane Sandy hit the East Coast last October, and she wanted to spend the night at the Hyatt for the night, in case she could find a flight home the next day, but they told her that unless she could give them a flight schedule, they wouldn't let her use the Magic Express (she already had a coupon, but couldn't use it because her flight was cancelled, and without thinking got off the bus, instead of going onto MCO) However, after speaking with the manager, they paid for her a taxi ride to MCO (which I don't understand, you'd think it'd been easier to have put her on a ME bus, but maybe they were all at capacity?)

There are no mouse police that will attempt to force you on a plane when you get back to the airport. ;)

Disney doesn't care what you do once they bring you to the airport and they only use the flight info to assign you a pickup time.

just give them your arrival flight info before your cruise and your return info after your second ressie.
All we did was give info for arrival and after our cruise we are staying 3 more days at BLT and that's when DME picks us up. You don't need flight info for the last day of your 1st ressie just your second.:goodvibes

Thanks guys!!

Will you have an active WDW resort reservation on Thanksgiving Day? If you are staying at a WDW owned resort, then you can use DME to get back to MCO...as long as you have an active reservation in effect. You can only travel on DME on days that you are actually booked at WDW resorts.

See, that was an issue when my sister stayed with us. She left earlier than us (as scheduled), but when she was on the DME, she received a text that her flight was cancelled due to Hurricane Sandy. She got off the bus with the luggage, and later decided to go back to the Hyatt (she was still staying with us) to see if she could find a flight to get her home. CMs told her she had to have actual flight information to get back onto DME (which she didn't have). But she talked to a manager, and Disney paid her way to the airport. Still can't figure out why they didn't just let her ride the DME.

I figure it was just the confusion of the hurricane and maybe that she had already been on a bus? Also, when picked up at airport there's no real schedule, but there is when going back, so there might just not have been room for her. And she was also dealing with people in person who don't normally schedule DME. Lotta different factors there to make it an unusual situation.

I have to imagine that since she had already been on the bus, it may have looked like she was trying to ride it twice. BUT....once she explained her situation, it should have been fine.
