No way jose! We did end up having 1 counter service left over the last time we went but we still made out saving money....you do not need to order everything offered and if you think about it alot of regular disney restaurants would cost you anywhere from $40-$60 for two just for an entree and drinks. Thats could cover over half the cost of the DP per day plus you get a counter service and a snack. We used too credits for CG last time which would equal to be almost $80 per person...Our bill would have been over $80 each and we still had 2 CS and 2 snack credits each to use after that.

Too Much Or Not Too Much , That Is the Question!!! :rotfl2:

I CAN'T WAIT !!!!

I have been to WDW 25 times and have gotten so use to saying "NO" to dessert and to appetizers Because I knew that the bill would just Double by adding these things I wanted sooooooo badly!!!
This is the opportunity of a lifetime to actually say, "YES,I will have an
order of Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail,,,and BY all means Show me the DessertTray!!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl:

I'm Sure I will leave a little bit of something along the way,but at least I finally got a chance to try it!!!!!
Thank YOU Disney!!!!

I think its too much food for a table service meal....but it leaves you potentially short on food the rest of the day. I don't see any other way they could offer it, however, because I don't think it would go over well to make the TS credits only good for an entree and drink (or even entree, drink and either an appetizer or dessert). I also don't think dessert is necessary twice a day, plus a snack.

Before we had kids we probably would have found the DDP just perfect though....we'd generally eat twice a day and have a snack or two in between. But the kids really need smaller amounts of food more often.

So I really couldn't vote. In some ways, yes, its too much food. In others, no, its just fine.

I voted no. We always shared a few CS's and did not share the TS's, so we were able to eat light 2 time a day and a good meal 1 time a day. This way we always had something for breakfast lunch and dinner. :sunny:

Too much food is a concept we can't embrace. We are athletic, active and not overweight. We plan our WDW vacation around our meals.

My vote was NO!!

For instance:

I can only speak for myself and my family, but, for the holidays we may not have an "official" appetizer, but add up the meat(s), stuffing (dressing in my house), mashed potatoes and/or mac and cheese(if you do that sort of thing), broccoli and cheese casserole (which we do), green beans, sweet potatoes, rolls, etc (it may be different for everybody, just giving an example here). Then add the dessert of cake/pie, cobbler, or whatever. (Which could either be considered an appetizer, an entree with lots of sides, a dessert, or a buffet.)

That is fairly typical of an American holiday meal (for some, of course not for all, I can't/won't speak for everyone), while it indeed may be a lot of food if you pile it high, or not if you make wise choices. My point is, it is what you make it, if you don't want it (on the DDP, or otherwise), then don't order/eat it. While one may eat that way once, two, three times/year or every Sunday, most don't eat that way every day, as does most will/do not go to Disney everyday. I think it is a great plan, and makes a vacation more enjoyable, not having to worry about meals, cost and all.

It may be a LOT, for some, but not enough for others. I personally wish that, since they have broadened the snack options, they would allow two or three snacks/day instead of the one.

Well anyway, just my longggg winded opinion. :sunny:

I voted no... Yes, we usually left a bit of food at every meal, but we got to try lots of new things and generally relax and enjoy meals that we wouldn't have been able to afford on their own. Going in January when it wasn't hot at night, we even took leftovers from most meals to have for breakfast the next day- it worked out great for us. I do understand the point about kids needing to graze more, but I think that could be worked out by sharing and spreading out the credits that way. When I'm on vacation, it's nice to feel pampered, and the dining plan certainly does that- it's great to be able to order whatever you want and not have to worry about the bill!
