I guess my question is pretty much spelled out in the title. . .seeing that ticket prices might increase this Spring--do the costs of annual passes, renewals etc also increase, or are they on their own "separate schedule?"

Thanks!

Usually when Disney raises prices for MYW tickets, Annual Pass prices increase also.

They change at the same time. Last year they increased the discount from $100 to $149 so that took care of most of the increase.

How much are the annual passes for DVC members currently? And how long are they good for? Thinking of purchasing with my income tax refund.

Currently, $425 for a new DVC AP (all ages), $559 for a new DVC PAP (all ages). These prices do not include the required 6.5% sales tax. They are valid for 1 year from the date you receive the actual AP or PAP. You can pre-purchase from MS at the current prices, but would need to pick up the actual pass at WDW which is when the clock would start ticking.

There was also a discount last yr for 399$ pp, and included WP tickets, so maybe it is the future.. to get more AP and more point buyers.. you never know. :confused3

I thought the 1 year (366 day) clock starts ticking when you walk in the gate the first time? :confused3

No, when you exchange it for the actual annual pass. The date is printed at that time. MYW go by first entry, there is no date printed on those.

Rumor has it that tickets will be going up in April.

Nope. Unlike MYW tickets that are activated by use at a park entrance, APs and PAPs are active when the CM hands you the actual pass.

It is almost the same thing. You don't get your actual AP/PAP until you show up at an applicable guest services at WDW to pick them up. They activate then even if you do not immediately use them to go into a park.

I clearly havent been paying attention...but I didn't realize the discount was increased...

Do you know if the tix prices for DL usually go up at the same time? I was probably going to wait until we go to DL this summer to get our park tix. But if they're likely to go up at the same time maybe I should just go ahead and order them?! :confused3 It's been a long time since we've bought regular park tix and not an AP....

Ok, that makes sense. I guess if you go exchange your voucher, you will be headed into the park soon anyways.

No, not always. Last year I think DL went up first.
