I have no idea where to post this! I saw a job posting for an At Home Disney Vacation Planner with My Favorite Mouse. I am curious if any DISers have used their experience and knowledge to go to work for this company. How does it work exactly?
Thanks!

I did a "whois" search and found that they have had the domain name for almost 8 years. Here is the underlying registration information"

I know this post is about a month old, but I just became familiar with this company, too.

A good friend of mine just booked her trip (she's on her way home right now) through them, and loved the service she received. She told me that there wasn't anything her agent told her that she didn't already hear from me. I started looking in to them to see what was needed to become a Disney travel specialist.

Good luck to you!

I have heard that commision checks are only about $25-$30 per trip booked.

Here is a DIS post from 2008. Also note that some others from the 2008 thread said after the clients took the trip it took months to get paid.

I would not work for Galaxsea Tours & Cruises myself. They are one of the companies they warned us about when I was in travel school in 1999. Them and TPI Travel Services were mentioned as companies that should not be considered employment possibilities once we graduated. They are shady businesses that make money off of your work you have done. They pay low commission rates to independent agents and offer little to no support to their agents. TPI was in trouble with IATAN for selling IATAN cards to people at one point. They began heavily recruiting home-based travel agents at that point so they could make more money, and they charge a fee for a "membership" in order to be employed by them. It's a scam basically, just like those other work at home scams that guarantee $2000 per week after paying $300 for their "start-up kit".
If you do it...do NOT pay any money to them and do not expect to make much money, if any at all. Commissions are always paid after the travel, this should also be considered.
