Does anyone NOT like Crocs?

I bought a pair of the flip flop style in navy/beige and wore then around the house for one entire day. By the end of the day my entire body was killing me, my legs ached, my heels ached and my back was killing me. The next day DH returned them for me.

They could feel like clouds on my feet...and the sheer ugliness of them would keep me away.

Seriously, they are just so putrid looking! :crazy2: Huge & rubber...wow.

Plus..They probably cost 25 cents to make & people pay 30 dollars for 'um! :confused3

There are other comfortable shoes for that price that you could actually wear somewhere other than a themepark or your yard.

No offense to anyone who likes them, JMHO that's all!

Wow, talk about a shallow thread!

I suppose everyone here would make fun of me at Disney, in my crocs with a fanny pack, hat, sun glasses and cords to hold my glasses on.

Ugly is as ugly does. I will be comfortable on my vacation. You all feel free to suffer if you want. lol.

I just saw this thread & posted because I don't like crocs..sorry you were offended but why did you post on a thread entitled "anyone NOT like crocs"? :confused3

I would not post on a "Who does NOT like Bagallini's?" thread because I LIKE mine! :wave2:

I think that most of the croc styles are pretty ugly. BUT...I just ordered a pair of the new mary jane style crocs, in black. They are alot slimmer, and I made sure not to get an obnoxious color. :rotfl:
I saw them in a local shoe store, and the Mary Janes caught my eye. Didn't buy them on the spot because they had the wrong color. Hopefully they work out. If not, I'll be back here to post my negative review. haha.

Wow, where have you guys been!? My husband LOVES them and I wont leave the house with him if he wears them! THey are cute on small children, but in a size 13/14, not so much! He wants to get them in orange or bright green. I told him I would have to contact my attorney if he does. LOL!

I hate the way they look but I broke down and bought a pair. Honestly, I don't think they are all that comfortable. :confused3 They are the right size but my feet slide around in them and my toes keep hitting the inside of the shoe. If I bought them smaller, they would be too short and if I bought them biggr they would be WAY too wide. I find that if I am walking in them without socks, I end up gripping the bottom of the shoe with my feet and then my feet hurt later.

Maybe this isn't fair for crocs because I had a pair of "faux crocs" and I didn't like the way they looked or felt. Maybe the real ones would of felt better but I don't think they would of looked any better! :confused3

Hate um! Not just for the sheer stupidity of how they look, but how they feel. i did a buy a pair for gardening, going to the mailbox, running out to play with the kids, all the quick things that I did not want to take the time put on shoes. They are fine for that (although I have had other gardening clogs that worked just as well and were $20 cheaper)

I feel like they are too loose fitting and wide with not enough support to wear them all day. My kids wear them to school (because they are too lazy to tie shoes) and their feet turn black in them.

I have conspiracy theory about these. I think the makers of them went on all the message boards and chat rooms and started singing the praises of how great they were- pretending to be regular people, and then everyone bought into it and went out and bought them and because everyone has them they are telling themselves they are great because they think they are in style and saying they are comfortable is the only way they can justify buying them because they are soooo ugly. (how was that for a run-on sentence? ;) ) How else could they take off so quickly in every city at the same time? This company must be laughing all the way to the bank, because it must cost like 2 cents to manufacture each pair.

We said we didn't like CROCS -not that we didn't like PEOPLE IN CROCS!
We are not shallow, but you are hypersensative.

I think a lot of people here are saying that they DONT find crocs comfortable. Different feet, different strokes.

I am a manager at a larger retail outdoor store and manage footwear and 2 other dept. and we sold approx 125 pairs of crocs last week. Was checking the data on these returns and of the 125 sold 64 pairs were returned. Top two complaints, not enough support and uncomfortable. I delt with a sweet lady a day ago and the poor girl came limpning to footwear asking for a manager. She had a credit for the returned crocs and I got her into a quality shoe. I asked her if I could see her blister and holy crap! On the ball of her left foot the blister was so bad it was gathering blood underneath and was about inch and a half in diameter. She had told me she wore them for two hours while at the grocery store and Blockbuster video. I felt sooooo bad. We do not try to promote these shoes at all. We display them and thats it. If some one asks we don't bad mouth them we just say they are not for eveyone. Mark my words these shoes will be like "jelly's" in the 80's around for a couple of years then the common phrase"do you remember those shoes? Oh what were they called again? People say they don't care how they look and thats fine, of course you need to remember you never get a second chance to make a first impression. :thumbsup2

ooooohhh---JELLIES! Now they were comfortable! and prettier than crocs, and they fit! I had them in every color. LOVED them, but especially the clear ones because they went with everthing. Thanks for the blast from the past.

Actually most posters are implying crocs are ugly and they won't even try them on. How is that a fair judgement? Judging by looks is very shallow and THAT is what I was implying.

And so are you or you wouldn't have posted this. :wizard:

I have tried them and they don't "float my boat". Most people care how they look. They may agree they are comforable but the look of the shoe negates that for them. Remember you never ever get a second chance to make a first impression and with crocs it is tuff to take anyone seriously. All croc users please recycle these shoe when you get a grip on reality. :thumbsup2 :wave2:

Ok, people! let's remember that this is the DISboard...not the Jerry Springer show! I agree with the poster who said we said the shoes are ugly not the people! My mother and SIL both wear and love their crocs...I don't think they are ugly...I just don't like their shoes. Everyone is intitled to their opinion without having to be blasted for it! I think we all need to take it down a notch and remember that this thread is about SHOES!!!!! Not the people wearing them!

Finally - I thought I was the only one who hated crocs! I never understood "jelly" shoes and I don't understand these - plastic/rubber on your feet??? Give me a pair of Nikes anyday...

I bought a pair on vacation and I wish I had returned them right away. I don't find them that comfortable and they don't fit right. Now I just wear them to run to the laundry room or to get the mail. I'll put up with cute shoes if they're uncomfortable, but not ugly ones :sad2:

I've seen people go Jerry Springer, lol.

What I posted isn't that bad. I just don't like it when people say they hate something but can't back it up aside from "Oh it's ugly." C'mon, try em on at least. :goodvibes

I'm not trying to be hateful at all. Sorry if I seem that way. :Pinkbounc
