recently refurbished?

When we stayed at the Wilderness Lodge it appeared to be all new carpet and furniture. I loved that.

I am planning a trip this summer (possibly at a moderate or value resort--although, we may splurge and spring for the AKL). Do you know of a website that keeps track of exactly when resorts go through refurbishment (and maintains a record of it)?

I would love to choose a resort that had been refurbished in the last year or two. Once, I read in a guide book that resorts need a refurb about every five years or so, and Disney tries to keep up with that schedule.

I have a dream of trying every single resort with my daughter before she grows up. It would be nice to stay in a resort that had been refurbished in the last couple of years each time. Or at least, I would like to avoid staying in a resort where the rooms need a refurbishment.

The Contemporary is currently being refurbished... from what I understand, all the rooms are finished.

So I would assume it's the most recent.

I was looking at pictures of Disney Resorts and I like the look of the headboard at Allstar Music. Does anyone know if that resort is recently refurbished?

I also love the look of the Dalmation Room at Allstar Movies. Was it refurbed recently?

Anyone know about the moderates? I actually stayed one night at CSR during my last stay, before checking into the WL. The grounds are breathtakingly beautiful. OMG...that place blew me away! The room we stayed in was a smidge worn. I definitely want to go back to CSR. I think I would pay for a view though. That's the beauty of that resort. It's as pretty if not more than the deluxe resorts.

I have heard so many wonderful things about POFQ. Has it been recently refurbed or is it due for one?

About 2 - 3 years ago POFQ went through a complete refurbishment. The resort was closed and everything was done at one time (not done section by section). I think that would be a great choice for you.

The resorts most recently refurbished are the Contemporary, the Grand Floridian, the Wilderness Lodge, the Polynesian, and the All Star Music. The All Star Sports is now being refurbished.
