an airline takes over another airline. I want to purchase our tickets for an upcoming vacation on Midwest Airlines, which we always use, but Airtran is trying to take them over. I am afraid if I buy the tickets, Airtran will take over and cancel our flight times and direct flights. Will they even honor our tickets? Does anybody know what happens in cases like these? TIA!

Nothing to worry about here. When an airline acquires another they get all the rights and obligations. So they get both the right to carry you and the obligation to carry you to your destination.

What I really want to know is what happens to my miles and my 3 round trip vouchers that I have my possession to use by June? Anybody know?
