We live in WA state and when we bought DVC last trip they made it very clear that if we wanted to do an add-on it would have to be done while we were in FL due to WA's timeshare laws, we could not add-on by phone/mail.
What I'm wondering is if that is just something that the timeshare seller (DVC) is limited by or if I could purchase a smaller add-on contract privately or through The Timeshare Store - would I be able to do this while in WA? I'm thinking about adding on maybe 25 to 50 points somewhere (not really important to me where) and I would like to take advantage of lower resale prices than the 92-98 per pt that Disney charges.
And what is it with WA's weird timeshare laws anyways? I mean I understand that they are for our protection and everything, but if I solicit it I should be able to purchase. GRRR...
