does anyone know anything about Clarion w/waterpark

Just back from a 3nt stay at the Clarion. Mixed review I guess. Please ask any specific questions, and I'll try to answer.

Resort fee is $8/night. There is a cont. brkfst, although it's not great. Cereal, toast, mini muffins, mini bagels, orange/apple, instant oatmeal.

We thought the slides were slow. Couldn't even make it down without stopping.

Water within the waterpark was warm. We were told 88-90 degrees. Temp in the regular pool 84 degrees.

Rooms small and average. Outside corridors.

Location, not great. No nice restaurants or shopping close by. Pretty far out on 192.

I paid 80/nt including the resort fee. Wouldn't have wanted to pay more. It wasn't terrible, but I probably wouldn't stay there again.

Thanks for the update. I booked one night there following our condo stay, so I will just make sure we bring any left over breakfast foods with us to supplement the 'free' breakfast. We are doing this after all our park days and it's just as a transition day to get us out of the Disney area and on to visit with family in the Ft. Myers area. Yeah, it's probably on the wrong side of town to get us back on the road quickly but will accomplish the goal of getting out of all the magical madness. ;) The draw for us was the water park. My 6 y/o dd wants to go to a water park, but my almost 5 y/o ds could care less. With the discount from smartertravel.com, this is the cheapest way to go for us and ds will be able to stay in the room with either dh or myself coloring, resting, playing a video game, etc while big sis is with the one of us sliding down the slides. Actually glad the slides are slow, as this will be her second time at anything like this and I don't want to spook her.

For those wondering about pool times and slide height requirements. I called yesterday - the lady I talked to said that the pool/slide hours will increase as the season gets into the summer season - she also said that we could get to the hotel whenever we needed to before the shown 4:00 check in and can use the pool facilities prior to getting into room and would probably be able to get into the room early. The height requirement for the big slides is 42".
