Does anyone here take Phentermine?

Well I am 32 years old and never had any kinds of health issues concerning my heart. That is until I was prescribed Phentermine for about 6 months. Now I am having problems with my heart racing at times to where I cannot even count my pulse because of how irregular and fast it beats.I also have a problem with when I lay down to take a nap or sometimes when I go to bed at night,it wakes me up and my whole body is vibrating and jerking and the the thing about it is that my heart is doing the same thing as my body.i have times that my head gets all tingly and it feels numb.
I cannot say for sure that phentermine is what is causing my problems but I know that I never ever had a problem ubtil I took that stuff.

I was so desperate to be put on it after I lost my baby trying to get the baby fat off, that I went to an OLD Dr that did not even have an office anymore that Dred out of his house:scared1: .I should have known better then but stupid me was all about getting the weight off.He was the only one that would even think about prescribing it.You would go in and he would take your BP and put you on the scales and then write out the script that was it.He was working out of an office in his basement.

So please please be careful when taking anything like this.
I am going to start having all the tests done to find out whats going on with my heart.

I did note that in my post.

Questioning is a good thing. ;)

I think the issue is that nobody has yet proven that phentermine alone is NOT a problem. That's why many doctors aren't comfortable prescribing it. There are many other articles to view, I happened to post those because I knew the OP would understand pulmonary hypertension and how serious it is and that was my point to begin with. People can individually decide if they want to run the risk of taking the drug (assuming they can find a doctor to prescribe it) but to me it's really important that they understand the risks first. PPH is a rare but serious disease, and treatment is limited. It's heartbreaking to think that in cases related to diet drugs, it could have been avoided.

Thanks for answering so kindly. I didn't want you to think I was questioning you. You're right. If you diet sensibly and exercise, you'll end up being stronger/healthier for your weight loss. Taking this drug might make you skinny, but it could also end up weakening you in the end.
