I would love to see them. I have been to the website, but sometimes it's hard to grasp what it actually looks like. Just wondering if anyone had pictures of the outside of hotel and inside room as well as pool. Thanks.

Yes, I would really appreciate some information on this hotel, too. :D What were the pros and cons of the actual room? Would you stay there again?

Thanks in advance!! :)

Cypress Pointe is a nice place. We were there in December. It is close to downtown Disney. The best thing I liked about it was the location. I've stayed at Summer Bay and Orange Lake, also. If I had to compare the 3, Cypress Pointe would be my least favorite. This is just my opinion. I'm sure others feel different. If I had to compare it to a hotel room, I would definitely choose Cypress Pointe. I've read Cypress Pointe Grandvillas are very nice. You might want to look into them. Hope I helped.

this year. Vistana was absolutely wonderful. We would have gone there again this year, but we just couldn't get good rates again. We were able to get good rates through hotel kingdom for a 3 bdrm at cypress pointe. I was hoping to see some pictures of cypress pointe to get a better idea of what to expect.

I stayed at Cypress Pointe about 4 years ago in a 3 BR. It was actually 2 units, a 2 BR unit with a 1 BR lock-off. My B&SIL and their kids were in the 2BR unit. It had a large master bedroom with jacuzzi tub, the 2nd bedroom was smaller with 2 twin-sized beds. There was a full kitchen and a dining room with a huge table and a living room with a big-screen TV. The couch was very uncomfortable to sit on. I imagine it's worse to sleep on. The porches were lanais (sp?) which means they were screened in. The view was of construction. I don't recall a porch in the 1BR, but there might have been. It had a full galley-type kitchen and a tiny area to sit/watch tv/eat. The bedroom was large in a master suite kind of way and it also had a jacuzzi tub.

We were very close to one of the quite pools which was an advantage. We could also park right outside our door and it was very close to WDW. Sorry, we don't have any pictures. We stayed before buying our digital camera.

Thanks for the info. Does anyone recall if there are elevators in all the buildings? Last summer we stayed at Blue Tree Resort, which doesn't have elevators and was a big problem for my mom. This past December we stayed at Marriott's Royal Palms and, on top of being a beautiful place to stay, they had elevators.

Since my mom lives with us, she always goes with us. I have tried to call Cypress Point the past two days and keep getting the answering machine.

:(

Have you seen the Property Owners Association's website for Cypress Pointe? It's different from the Sunterra website, offering some more photos, floorplans, resort sitemap, etc. Be sure to scroll down the home page and click on "renovations" for a lot of neat photos. :)

There are elevators in the Grande Villas but as I recall the older part of CP is just a walk-up. I would tell the front desk upon check-in that your Mother needs an elevator and that you would like a unit from The Grande Villas...they're usually pretty good with requests.:D

I have tons of photos (we always stay every year with my family, who are owners there) but none are scanned as my scanner is on the fritz.:(

I have a digital camera now and we're heading down in about 6 weeks..........when are you leaving? If it's after I get back I'd be glad to share the pics with anyone who's interested. Just let me know.:)

We've been staying at CP for the past 8 or 9 years and have always had a nice time. We stay in the 2 bedroom Grande Villas and there is usually between 5 and 6 of us and we find we enough room to move around in and watch TV etc.;)

Hope this helps and if I can be of any help please feel feee to PM me.:)

i dont think you have anything to worry about, we are DVC owners and have pretty high expectations of where we stay, let me tell you that CP grand villas exceeded my expectations, we were there only 1 night before we checked into OKW but they were great, and you could not beat the price 89.00 dollars a night for a 2 bedroom, it was just awesome, you are only about 5 minutes to downtown disney. hope this helps.

Thanks again, everyone! So far, I have read nothing but positive things about CP. I am glad you all have had a good experience, too, and are planning on returning.

We are going to be there February 27 - March 2. A nice long weekend. Of course, I wish it were for much longer but we are squeezing this trip in since my brother is coming for a visit and hasn't been to WDW in ((gasp!!)) 20 years! I can't wait!

I am going to check out the website suggestions to see the photos.

Thanks!

:D

Can anyone tell me if there is any advantage to staying in either the Resort or the Grandvillas? It would appear that the Grandvillas are newer, but it also looks like there were a lot of renevations done on the Resort section last year.
