I'm just wondering... does anybody have a really great Disney guide? My brother is interested in DVC and honestly, I cannot recommend our guide. We always get her voicemail, she never returns phone calls and she doesn't do things in a timely manner. So, I would never recommend her to anybody. I"m hoping there is at least one guide out there who has a history of good performance... so that we can refer family and friends to someone that is reliable even AFTER they receive your check.

Any suggestions?

Rob Shapiro is ours and he's been fabulous! Very knowledgeable, patient, kind, ALWAYS remembers me and calls back immediately!:thumbsup2

Judy Kaufman, senior sales guide.....absolutely awesome! Friendly, VERY knowlegdable, very patient and a complete pleasure to work with.

Still waiting for a call back 3 days later like usual so nope, sorry cannot help you!

You should call our DVC Guide, Gib McCain (800) 827-8731, he can answer your questions. He is a knowledgeable, well respected, Senior Guide and he can walk you through buying direct and set you Brother up for the tour during your next WDW vacation.

This is our experience as well. We have a "Senior Guide" but we're still waiting for an answer that was promised for last Thursday "at the latest". We can't get her to call back or respond to emails. It's very frustrating.

My DSis bought first and Jim MCcoy is her guide. My DH & I bought through Jim also and I can't say enough great stuff about him. He always returns calls, is polite, knowledgeable, and never pushy.

Joan Lane is also my guide, and she has been great. She even called me back when she was on a cruise and arranged my add-on.

Stephanie Scheiner - I can't recommend her highly enough. Even tho' we're in a different time zone (I live in the UK), she's incredibly prompt to respond to my emails and makes the whole process so very easy... :goodvibes

Jim Marshall out in CA. He's been great for us!

There was only one thing I didn't understand, but hubby did, so Jim said it right; I just heard him wrong. :) Everything else he has told us has been right on the money. No lies, no glossing over, nothing like that. When we were buying, I would email with my questions and he would call back with all the answers. Very easy!

Ours, Linda O'Grady, promised us some fastpasses for a referral last year. Called her several times while we were there and she never got back to us. Pass on her...

Thanks for all the names, everyone. One of the folks listed above was in the office today, so contact's been made. YAY! =)

Randy Kruger was our guide. He was great. Even came in his day off to help us.

Wow... surprised to hear about guides not getting back. We must be very fortunate, Judy Kaufman is our guide and as already mentioned she is a pleasure to work with and very knowledgable. And she calls back very promptly! :goodvibes

Just like with any business, the folks who work there are motivated for different reasons. Our experience with our original guide was not pleasant, for many reasons. There were broken promises and frustrations. The whole situation with her felt more like your standard "only out for the sale" timeshare purchase rather than a Disney experience... and that was unfortunate. Luckily, Disney does care that your experience is positive. If you truly are having difficulties with your guide, they will provide you with a new one. =)
