Does anyone else spend this much time deciding which Disney shirt to wear in which park?

The countdown for our trip is on . . . 13 days and counting!!

I find myself often thinking about which Disney/Star Wars shirt I"m going to wear in which park on which day. I think to myself "Ok, well we'll be meeting Snow White on that day, so I'm going to wear . . . "

Today I went and put every Disney tank top (that I liked and was in my size) on hold in Hot Topic because I had to come home and really think about which ones I wanted to wear when and where.

Please tell me I'm not alone! :rolleyes1

I've only had one trip to Disney, but I spent a ton of time stressing about what shirts to wear, should we match etc. Then I found once I got there, that I gravitated to the shirts in the souvenir shops, as did dh. We decided next time we'll bring a couple shirts, and then buy the rest when we see what's there. I realize that's not a cost effective approach. But it is fun!

The other night, I ordered 4 new shirts on Disney Store website. These are for hubby and my trip in July. You know, the 3 day trip we are taking specifically for the fireworks! I told hubby, and he was like, "Jill, we are only going to be there for 3 days!" And we already have 2 other new shirts to wear.

For family trips, I spend A LOT of time coordinating shirts - making sure that they make sense with the park of the day. You are not alone!

I just like they way it looks for the pictures, too!

this would have never occurred to me! it's hard enough to find clean stuff that goes with the bottoms that goes with the weather!! i also managed to find the ONLY shirt at disney that is "un-disneyfied". :)

enjoy your planning though! hope you guys have an awesome time!

Nope not alone! I do this for me and for DH as well. It's part of your fun so enjoy it!

My fiance and i are going in September (yes you read that right 4 months away and i have them planned out already!!!) and I have matching shirts for everyday then because we know it will be hot we got shirts for at night not matching but we will be keeping w the same theme for example mickey/minnie alice/ chesire cat etc. So nope not alone lol.

Oh my ! this is me to! i make everyone match their Colors and theaming to go with the park , like NO star wars in AK because , we take hundreds of pictures and they are just better when everyone looks together instead of like we have been hit with the Disney buss , which is how we feel sometimes , but the picture lasts forever . So no you are not alone ! and you are making your pictures so much nicer :)

I've been buying shirts for our trips ever since I knew we were going back  We're not going till September and December so I haven't coordinated what goes with what day yet but I'm pretty sure I have more than enough ears, dresses/skirts, and shirts now for several trips.

My boyfriend doesn't care as much about new clothes for Disney but I do buy him some new shirts here and there. He'll ask why he can't just wear the ones from last time. :sad2: I usually run the shirts by him first or let him pick out of a group. Some match or are similar theming and he's got some different ones too.

I never would have thought of this (ditto the poster who said it's hard enough just to get clean, matching tops and bottoms, right for the weather) UNTIL one rather OCD friend if mine talked about their Hawaiian shirts at O'hana, cargo shorts and "safari" look at AK. . . THEN my trip was a special extended family trip and we wanted great pictures. . . And down the rabbit hole I went!! You're not alone!

I do that. Even on our travel days. I have two(some times three) days going and coming. Even what shoes/shorts to wear. When my dd is going she also has to plan what bow to wear with what outfit.

Planning your outfits? Doesn't sound strange to me.

I planned outfits based on who we were meeting and where we were going all last Summer (i.e. Hilo Hattie top and Lilo and Stitch Ears for breakfast at Ohana, Red Polka dot top, black bottoms and minnie ears for going to meet Mickey & Minnie and then a change out that evening to my snowflake necklace and blue top, sparkly clear sandals, and Frozen ears to go meet Anna & Elsa, Tiger print top and tigger ears for Crystal Palace...etc. etc.). I had multiple outfits for some days..um..because it was hot and it was August :-) I'm a grown woman. Picking entire outfits based on characters and stuff would just be silly.

In my defense, my kids like it when I'm silly and do silly stuff like that so it was "for the children." :rolleyes1

My DH doesn't let me pick out his clothes (or I would definitely make us coordinate in some way), but I do carefully plan my shirts based on what we are doing that day.

I definitely do...for both myself and my boys! I bought 7 tanks from Hot Topic, one from Amazon, 2 from Disney and 1 Rumors of Light tank. Plus I have 2 shirts I'll bring just in case. I made a planning sheet that has a column for each day (AM and PM rows), shirt for me, shirt for my 4 yr old, and shirt for my 2 yr old. I've pretty much decided in mine but need to figure out the boys.

Ummm. No. I just want to have a clean shirt & undies every day and I try to keep our packing / luggage to a minimum. We wing it when we get dressed in the mornings based on weather etc. And plus our budget doesn't allow for such a thing. DS is in (private) college now. That puts wardrobe spending $$ into perspective....wear it until the elastic is shot & the cloth is pilled & threadbare. I haven't bought any Disney clothing for myself for awhile now....I'd rather eat. We love our Disney trips and go 2-3 times a year but DH & DS wouldn't go with me if I tried to coordinate what we were wearing. They would put their feet down for sure.
