Does anyone else skip the parades?

We never go to any parades except for Spectromagic. Nobody we go with has little kids but SpectroMagic brings back such great memories. Not going to parades makes for no lines at great rides during parade time! :teeth:

I agree parades to me mean shorter lines for attractions. And I'm short too so unless I get a prime spot there's really no point. And as sad as this is even if I do get a good spot someone usually cuts in front of me and at 5'2 i'm pretty sure everyone can see over my head, so it just frustrates me!

Just wondering if it me or does anyone else skip the parades? I have seen all the parades at least once.
I would much rather go on the rides. It is not that I don’t like them. I know some people go really early to get a “good spot” to view the parade and wait with great anticipation. Not me I keep on going. Anybody else out there that would rather do other things then watch the parades?

Dh and I have always skipped the parades, whether we were touring alone or with my parents (they come with us about half the time). Now that we have a son, we are planning on catching our first parade in November! We think he will love it. If he isn't so interested at 12 mos., we will make a note of it and try again later when he is older. I grew up in California so we always went to DL, and I remember how much my siblings and I LOVED the Main Street Electrical Parade! :cheer2: We had the soundtrack and listened to it over and over and over and over again in between visits!

Oh yeah, I always skip the parades. I mean, there's nothing wrong with them, I just like rides more.

We usually skip the parades and we do still have one child. We always have been there in June and sitting on a patch of payment in the heat long enough to have a spot is never something that we want to do. The only parade we watched in 7 days last year was the late Spectro Magic. Many people were leaving .it was 10:00, so not hot and we just happened on a nice spot that a family who watched the earlier parade were vacating. We a going in a few weeks, it shouldn't be as busy as past trips so maybe we will watch a few parades.

With the exception of Spectromagic, we never do parades. We are more into the rides, dining and shopping/downtime when we go (two adults). We will watch if we are caught in one, but will never stake out a spot for one.

We usually return to our resort during the time of afternoon parades in the parks. We have seen Spectro, Main Street Electrical Parade and TON in the evenings.
