Does anyone else have to keep logging in?

I have to log in about every 10 minutes. It is driving me batty! Anyone else? Ideas?

What web browser are those of you who are having problems using? It may be an issue with how your browser is handling the session cookie that keeps you logged in. I'm not sure what updates they did last night but it could have effected the way your browser deals with the site.

I am using Firefox and am running version 3.6 and I have no problem staying logged in even over multiple tabs.

I had to sign in this morning.

It had me worried that there was something going on in my computer because last night someone, somehow got into my email address and sent out a link to everyone in my contact list. The link was to a Canadian medication website.

I changed my password and security question and contacted Hotmail--I've had the email acct for 10 years and this is the first time something like this has happened so needless to say when I got here and seen an ad in the middle of the thread and scrolled up to see I wasn't signed in it caused me to worry even more.

So hopefully it's some glitch with the DIS and what I've done with Hotmail is good.

I am using Firefox too. I am not sure which version exactly but it automatically updates so I am guessing the latest version.

I have my browser set to expire cookies and treat all cookies like session cookies so after a period of inactivity, usually about 10 minutes, I am logged out automatically anyway.

I am on Firefox as well, and despite being constantly active, it's logging me out every 3rd or 4th time I go to another page (like on the CB...I look at page 1, then page 2, but then I click on page 3 and I have to sign back in, even though it's been less than 5 minutes).

I had a problem yesterday, too. Everything was underlined and when I tried to click on something, my cursor changed to a hand, then when I released the mouse button, it changed back to the arrow. Couldn't do anything...

No problems on any other websites, though.

I also keep logged in at all times. I haven't had any problems on any other website either.

Using Firefox.....I clear my cookies every night when I close down.

I had to sign back in this morning and then again a little while later. But then I remembered to check the "remember me" box and ever since then I've stayed in fine.

It sounds like they changed the cookie handling on the DIS servers from the descriptions here. I have been logged in and had no problems. If I walk away it will log me out but that is how I have always had it set so I am not noticing a difference.

As a pp mentioned, if there is a remember me box you will probably have to check it. That would put a persistent cookie in your browser that should keep you logged in unless your browser settings over ride it and at that point it is a browser issue and not a site issue.

There was a DIS Board update last night. So probably something got funky last night and they know to fix it.


However, I just downloaded Firefox a week ago, and I am having problems staying logged in, not just this site, but a couple other ones, too, since last night.

Frank, how do I fix my cookies in Firefox? Also, where do I go to delete cookies in Firefox periodically. The folder was easy to find in I.E.
