Does anyone else dislike the dismeet and cruiseline forums seperated????

Hey all..........We are sailing on the Nov. 29th Eastern and have MANY people from these boards that will also be sailing. I just don't like the fact that I have to exit the "meet" forums and enter the regular cruiseline forums to see any of the "regulars" posting. I was use to posting with fellow sailors and catching a different thread while "refreshing". Verandahman, Rae519, AnnMorin, MarkRG etc......I haven't been able to follow up on any posts!!!! What do you all think??

Sorry, but I love it! I like having another board to keep up with and right now since my next cruise is a bit far away (Dec '04) it doesn't clog up the regular forum.

I do wish we'd come to an agreement on how to post the dates over there tho!

Sorry LAMPSKIES, but I kind of like the seperation too. I think having the seperation allows newcomers (myself included) easier access to info they might be wondering about, or for others to see their questions and respond with that much need info. JMHO

I liked the old way better as it felt like more of a commmunity. Since change if part of life if the majority is happy I'll learn to live with it.

I prefer the new way too. I didn't like having to go back 5 or 6 pages to find the thread for our particular cruise. Now, it is either on the first or second page and much easier to find.

I liked it better before. I think it makes the meet threads less active since people have to go to a special place to find them. But I'm sure I'll get used to it. Sounds like I'm in the minority.

I feel the same way. I have noticed a lot LESS activity on 'our' 10 day cruise thread.
But, things change and you gotta go with the flow.

It makes it easier to find your cruise meet after its been bumped from the first few pages.

I found that there was a repetition of cruise threads and they were all over the place before.

I agree with the previous poster though there has to be some standardization of the cruise date, but more importantly one that CAN be searched using the search feature during those hours its up and working.

That is the big flaw I see right now that you can't find the darn thread and even though you try to search a date it won't as there are insufficient letters/symbols.

I definitely prefer it being separated and when I want to look at an upcoming cruise thread there is a specific place to look.
