I ordered a rental car from Alamo( MCO location). Does my 6 yr old(tall and close to 60lbs) need a booster seat in FL?

Thanks:)

Do you know what the law is? I have a 6 and 5 year old. I have brought boosters with us because they are rather small for their ages and for safety precautions. This year i wasn't going to bring them, but would feel better to know at what age you no longer need a booster seat in Florida.
Thanks

I just looked it up. I went to a website that listed the law by state and i am amazed at the big differences from state to state. I live in MA and i guess my children don't need them anymore, but I just bought a new one for my 5 year old.

The Florida Law states that a child 4 years and older can use a regular seat belt. Any child below the age of 4 must use a child restraint seat. Booster seats are not even mentioned. If you want me to quote the law let me know and I will print it out.l

Thanks for the info! I am very confident my DS would be OK without one. He will be closer to 7 by time our next visit in June 2007.
