Dodge Durango owners.....

Need advice. We looking into buying a new Dodge Durango with the Hemi engine. I want it so bad but everyone is saying that the gas mileage is horrible. Tell me its not true...... but really tell me the good, the bad, and the ugly before I go in debt for this vehicle.

wellllllll I won't lie to you.

I have a 02 with the 5.9 magnum- and its right on the money with what the window sticker says- get ready.........




12 mpg

yup-= thats city, highway- doesnt matter. sometimes it goes up to 12.5 if I spend a lot of time going downhill.

Now that said- I wouldnt trade it for anything. I had an 04 Envoy- that only got 16mpg, so this with an engine of this size isn't 'that' bad.

I love the rig, love the space, love the way it handles, rides, and performs in the snow. i have the AWD/4WD model, and it's a beast in the snow.

Plus with the 3 rows- the 5 kids (my 2 and dbf's 3) all fit and I didnt have to become a 'minivan mom"...

I'd get it if I was you! You can look at it this way. I spend 2.37 on 24 oz of dunkin donuts coffee- so is 2.25 a gallon of gas really that much? LOL

Thanks for getting back with me. Im supposed to go tomrrow to pick it up and im so nervous. I always get nervous when I do these things though. Its a beautiful vehicle. I hope I like it. Again thanks for writing me.
