Documents arrive 2-3 weeks prior to your sail date. The cruise lines do not even work on a specific sailing until 30 days out from departure. Then depending on how the cruise line or the agency you are dealing with has them marked, they will either go to you direct from the cruise line or they will go to your agent first and then to you.
Also, the cruise lines all use different document houses that print out these booklets for them. Depending on which document house they use and how backed up they are will also make a difference. And even though the agency asks the cruise line to send the documents direct to the client, believe it or not they often end up at the agents office anyway and then they have to go to the client.
If you are traveling with air, then you really want to make sure to reconfirm if you do not have them 2 weeks prior. """IF""" you are CRUISE ONLY, for any reason you do not have your documents for one reason or another prior to your sailing, you can always call the cruise line or the agency and request a
PIER PICKUP...............so as long as you show proof of payment you would be ok too........
Hope this helped a little and give the agent a call and touch base, they should be able to talk to the cruise line and get an idea for you of the status
of your documents.
Take Care
