Do your dogs sleep in bed with you?

yes. sigh. my DH taught the spoiled rotten monster dog it was ok,so now she's there nightly. at least she's tiny. I wish my bed was higher so she couldn't reach.

No, my dog does not sleep in the bed with me. She is not allowed on the furniture at all but I joke that she has a "3 bedroom house" because she has a bed in the kitchen, in the family room and her super deluxe dream bed right next to mine. Lately she has been snoozing on a rug in the living room a bit - I think she is angling to get another bed! :lmao:

She is a scaredy cat during storms and fireworks and this year on the 4th of July, I actually tried to get her in my bed so that she would settle down and we could both sleep but she wouldn't get in because she knows she is not supposed to. Instead I spent the night hanging out of the side of my bed patting her. Ha.

Mine sleeps in the bed with me!
and on the couch....
and chairs....
and the 4 beds and blankets that are his scattered about....:rolleyes1

I guess I'm in the minority, but my dogs don't sleep with my dh and I. We do have one cat that sleeps with us and the other two cats rotate shifts in the kids' bedrooms.

OP- I also have a Corgi. He's a very sweet dog but a royal pain in the rump! Based on my experience with him, I think he may be my first and last!

I had my little husky mix sleep on the bed a few times but I couldn't deal with all the hair from his shedding, so now he has his own little dog bed next to mine and he sleeps in that.

yup, when she wants to she does. She's either with us or with DD12. She is DD's dog after all. lol
She slept with us last night, we have stairs for her climb as our bed really is too high for her jump onto, but she won't use them to get down, refuses, she jumps down. :( She's a mini daschaund so we worry about her back.

Oops...looks like he DID get on the table and sit. But, he's waiting on his birthday party to start. :lmao:

Oh I love this!

Yes, when she can be still. All 90 pounds of her is always trying to crawl up between DH and I, though. :)

We love our dog very, very much. BUT - there is NO WAY that he will be in our bed. He is in our bedroom, in his OWN bed, next to ours.

He is our dog, not our human kid, husband, or wife. His own bed is a MUST. Our bed is OUR territory, not his.

And - we don't sleep in his bed either! :goodvibes

Certainly not, the dogs stay on the main floor. But sometimes one of the cats sneaks in if I forget to close the door after a midnight pee.
Nothing like waking up to a face-full of cat butt... :lmao:

We have 5 dogs: 3 dachshunds and 2 beagles. All but one dachshund sleeps with us. The beagles go between my daughters and two of the doxies sleep with me. I can't imagine sleeping without my babies.

We have 2 miniature Schnauzer's, a brother and sister one litter apart. Gretel sleeps with me usually stretched out against my leg. She has to be touching.

Hansel for the most part sleeps on the floor or in one of the 2 pet beds we have on the floor. When I work night shift and have to sleep during the day, he will sleep with me till about noon.

Our dogs are the perfect size for sleeping with and we wouldn't have it any other way.

I agree, no dogs in my bed! We did that with our first dog, a 65-lb long-legged Doberman. Once we got her in our bed there was no getting her out. Sleeping was pretty miserable. We have since had 2 other dogs, neither of which were allowed in our bed. My Minky slept right beside me on the carpet. He would not sleep on a bed. In fact, he ate part of his bed.:crazy2:

I cannot have anyone touching me when I sleep. I have a couple sleep disorders, so I have to be very careful about sleep hygiene. I can't even stand to have my husband touching my feet when I'm sleeping. Otherwise I'm awake half the night.

I have been avoiding this thread b/c I knew there would be so many people sleeping with their dogs! Eek!

Our dogs are 50ish pound German Shepard / mutt dogs and they sleep downstairs on their pillows in the laundry room. They are not allowed on the furniture or upstairs at all. I am not a dog person and only have these b/c my kiddos wanted them so badly.

They are great dogs, very well behaved and sweet tempered but no way are they getting in my bed!!!

We have 2 puggles. One sleeps with us, right alongside of me. The other likes to sleep in his crate. The door to the crate remains open. He just loves it in there
