Do You wear white slacks/shoes after Labor Day???

I don't wear white slacks or white shoes any time of the year. Just not my style.

yup, you beat me to it

I was also going to say that I don't wear "slacks" either, I don't think I have ever even used the word slacks to refer to pants. Is there a difference between slacks and pants?

Strippers wear white shoes? Why am I getting the image of pasties and some Princess Reeboks?

I do not own white pants or shoes, but I will not carry a white handbag after Labor Day. I also do not wear red to weddings. Each of those carries a long embarrassing reason as to why which I can sum up as: ignorant Northern transplanted to the South.

Yes strippers wear white shoes, like patent leather white stilletto's... not that I would know

Why no red to weddings? Must be a southern thing?? Lots of people wear red to weddings around here

When I first saw the title to this thread, it made me think of Kathleen Turner in "Serial Mom"!:scared1:

The whole white after Labor Day doesn't really apply here in Florida. The only people I notice that still follow that trend are the Senior Citizens I see at church.

So, do you wear white slacks/shoes after Labor Day????

Chances are that I have, but I really don't know. I've never cared enough about such things to notice. So long as I'm not wearing a swimsuit to a funeral, i.e. that I'm within the limits of general appropriateness to the occasion, my "fashionableness" or lack thereof matters very little to me.

I don't own white slacks or dress pants, but I do have two pairs of white capris that I will wear year-round.

I also have two pairs of white sneakers that I will wear.

But white shoe-shoes? Nope.

I also refuse to wear white or black to a wedding, that's just me and if others do, I could not possible care less.

No, I don't wear white after Labor day. I'll wear "winter" white clothes but I can't bring myself to wear white shoes or pants after labor day. Except for white in my sneakers but they're not completely white.

It's haaarrrdd to break those old rules especially when my family were sticklers to pointing it out and reminding you if you did. :rolleyes1 It's been seared to my brain. :headache:
